Goodbye Malky Mackay, Manuel Pellegrini, Blackpool and the Vanarama Conference.
I just want to talk about how much I love Ander Herrera. He just looks so happy to be playing football, and amongst a plethora of GotS contenders, his calm stroke into the bottom corner to kill the game was wonderfully casual.
Also, tremendous to see us go for the kill rather than ropily defend the 2-1 lead.
who I wouldn't recognise on the street. Such a nothing face
i wouldn't recognise any burnley players if i was at turf moor and watching them play
‘Seriously mate are you related to my sister of something.’
and just have a team of young, hungry Herreras and de Gea in goal <3
Games with Herrera and Mata
and that's the real quiz
since the glory days of Van der Sar, Berbatov and Ji-Sung Park all seeming like okay guys..
QPR V Chelsea
Chelsea V Man Utd
Arsenal V Chelsea
Leicester V Chelsea
Chelsea V Crystal Palace
Chelsea V Liverpool
West Brom V Chelsea
Chelsea V Sunderland
With the exception of Palace, lingering in mid-table obscurity, every match they've got is either against a team fighting for the Champions League/European places or a team scrapping down at the bottom.
I'm possibly clutching at straws here, but I reckon that their fixture list gives a wee bit of hope that there still might be a couple of tasty twists to come.
They're being chased by Arsenal, Man Utd and City, and I wouldn't rely on any of them to win all their remaining games.
They only need 5 wins and a draw.
2 points a game.
I find it hard to believe that they are going to lose the title now.
but in reality they are much better than all of those teams.
I just want some excitment.
I don't care about the Championship title race. It's not exciting. And all those teams are boring (and have rubbish kits).
Who signed this off (the kit, not re-signing Woodgate):
Awful, awful stuff.
I can't wait to find out who gets pumped every week next year but become significantly richer
premier league TV money would be a drop in the ocean for Bournemouth
the League One relegation battle. Cov have been on a bit of a run of late but we're still only 2 pts above the drop.
only 2 off safety now. Would be an absolute miracle, especially after losing Freddie Sears to Ipswich in January
I hope he leaves Ipswich in about 10 years to play for Great Yarmouth Town F.C..
Squeaky bum time
Feels like an abnormally high proportion of the remaining games are top-5 clashes
It's been fucking atrocious. But something that's been brewing for ages and only Oyston's reasonable eye for a manager had been keeping at bay.
The way that club is run is a disgrace.
and we can have two massive anti-owner protest days when we play Blackpool next season.
No salaries paid since last summer, 3 different owners this year and facing relegation and €218m of debt. Unlikely to be around next year.
(Still drew with Bobby Manc's Inter at the weekend though).
but yeah it doesn't look good. Anyone who grew up watching Football Italia will feel a sadness at Parma's passing especially.
Sampdoria for me, Clive
had a shirt, still occasionally wear the scarf i got when i went there a few years ago
also quite like Chievo after they had that awesome season when they first came up into Serie A and i led them to the title on FM05 after a playoff against Milan, who had somewhat unreasonably sacked me a couple of seasons earlier for not winning the league when i took over in January with them in 10th. think i had a 37 year old Rooney up front, was glacially slow.
#indiepoints you cry but it was only because I won their shirt in a competition from Shoot magazine and they were never, ever on telly and spent most of their time in Serie B anyway so...
Fiorentina all told. 100% because of Batistuta.
'there but for the grace of God..' I feel sorry for them.
Every club outside of the Prem is only a cunt of a Chairman away from sliding down the Football League into obscurity. Look at Leeds: much as I should be laughing at their plight in the pub with my Derby mates, you have to feel for what was a once-great club in such disarray.
We were at Wigan yesterday and, looking around, it's hard to see them scaling the heights again in a long time. Dave Whelan has come and gone and the future now looks to be weekly scraps with the likes of Fleetwood and Burton
Good performance against Ipswich. Still not mathematically safe, but even the most pessimistic of our fans would struggle to send us down from here.
Should have been there a few games ago mind, thrown away some silly points recently. I'd like to see a few of our U21s given a go now, they've had a really good season, and except for Derby, noone else we're playing has anything to play for, so we can't be accused of making it unfair for others.
please just roll over when we come to your place in a couple of weeks
I watched the highlights of the West Brom v QPR game on my phone in some pub - was so fragile that I actually teared up and maybe had a little cry while watching the replays of Bobby Zamora's goal.
OK fine, how about his shit celebration?
the automatic spots. #kingtipper
The watford fans are some of the weirdest, most bitter cunts going..Really strange amount of crying and conspiracy theories due to Afc Bmouth's passing game winning a few penalties.
The championship seems like a really bitter league in general tbh. Guess it's due to all the once big clubs that have now been down there for years.
He'll still win but at least he's had to work for it this year
once big club will be down there for years
or something stupid and fucking Ipswich go up
because they, like bournemouth, are fresh from the far more noble,non-bitter league one....and have been shit for ages like Bournemouth
away loss at the valley is what kills our promotion dream dead?
I just hope you show the same compassion and humility as I did when we signed Yann..
we've got a_p's lot on the final day of the season who we haven't beaten since the 80's meaning we'll finish 3rd and they'll survive the drop. Now THAT'S Anti-Bants.
we will beat you on the last day anyway, it's inevitable
but I can see Millwall pulling it back to the final day just for you to get out of it anyway
in the 4 below us. No way the footballing gods would let lovely, gentle Fulham go down instead
how do you pronounce Bony?
probably to get around the Boney/Bonnie issue
literally no commentator ever called him it once
Bony, Kone and Maloney
We beat a lacklustre hearts 2-1, still there was a fair bit of improvement there, and a bit more desire which was good to see.
It was hospitality, so champagne breakfast at 10.15am, good times.
should win quite easily though
but I'm playing football tonight so will only be able to watch the 2nd half. Got a feeling I won't want to start watching by that point, mind. Also Guy Luzon's my new favourite manager, he's like the anti-'Arry.
You can't keep talent like that out of the game for long.
Bring back Dave Wigan.
HE THREW THE GILET AGAIN GUYS!!!
Kind of typical that nobody would be showing this one.
it sounds like an astonishingly mediocre 3-3, barring Bintikai.
such a profligate club
