What milk do you normally buy? Type and size please.
Me? 4-pint semi-skimmed; 4-point whole (for the little'uns)
accidentally got used to it and now green or blue is gross ='(
This could be the shot in the arm this Godforsaken website really needs
Looking forward to lactose-fuelled beeves
i'm the only one in the flat who drinks milk, and i take 3-4 days to go through a pint
(It only goes into tea and 'er indoors only uses a homeopathic amount per cup)
1x almond "milk" (1 litre) per week, for weekday cereal and weekend pancakes.
You can join Royter in calling her a twat in the other thread.
Apologies to you and your partner.
We demand reparations in the form of dairy substitute products.
And will leave my skin looking glorious.
Plus a one pinter for work.
But get this, just recently I've been bringing milk in a container from my home bottle. Ingenious.
This is it.This is what I want.
I still don't understand this.
or sometimes the orange stuff if we're in Sainsbos.
Boyfriend always tries to put full fat in the basket. Really not on.
I'll nick the girls' full-fat milk for my cereal.
we used to annoy the hell out of my mum / dad by skimming the cream off the top of each pint when they were delivered.
Man, I've got a craving for drinking some milk straight from the glass bottle
Unfortunately we got it from some squares that went to the same church as us rather than the old-school glass bottle cool guys but the rush to use the cream before anyone else was still a hotly contested battle.
It was just that one of the squares at church had a dairy farm so we were obligated to use their milkman service rather than the cooler, glass bottled Unigate
2 four pinters of ol' bluey for my son
1 two pinter of semi-skimmed for the wife.
Mrs h_y_g buys roughly one pint of red-top every week for her coffee, but I don't drink tea or eat cereal*, and take my coffee black, so I don't have any call for it.
Used to like a nice glass of milk before bed in days gone by, but I swapped it for whisky.
*I like cereal, I just don't eat breakfast so I don't buy it.
and the milk comes with it
6er and a 4er
Kids love it. And eat a lot of cereal
I don't fucking know how much is in one o' them things.
it occurred to me that I'm not really used to it yet
Doesn't have that weird soy aftertaste.
the unsweetened one? *shudder*
Always surprised at how cheap it is. Seems cheaper than water.
unlike those jumped up dairy pricks.
An industry built on exploitation is sort of what they signed up for.
a fertile environment.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to beeveland.
I'll stock up on 6 to 8 0.5l cartons instead.
Once open you have to drink it as quick as normal milk, right?
UHT milk *does* taste different. Ever been to a budget hotel and made a cuppa using their little kettle and UHT milk sachets? Tastes nothing like tea made with pasteurised milk.
Can't remember what UHT milk on cereal tastes like. Not sure if I've ever dared.
Always crave milk when I'm hungover, s'all that about?
Reading something once that said the best thing to drink after a workout, rather than water or a fancy isotonic drink, was chocolate milk. It's everything the body needs.
Always get hungover bone pain in my legs so I'm guessing the calcium helps or something idk.
We're all trying here except you
Big fan of 1% milk, as it is perfect for generating the exact foam density required when heating milk for my breakfast coffee.
But why is the "best until" date for 1% milk almost always 3 or 4 days shorter than semi-skimmed milk when you check the shelves in the supermarket? What's going on here?
so it's been sitting there for longer?
every week or so. I can drink coffee black and rarely drink tea at home. don't approve of cereal. If making a béchamel I'll buy blue.
Sometimes I buy coconut milk- I think it might actually be UHT!
still don't get through it all. They need to do half pints for dweebs like me who have their coffee almost-but-not-quite-black and use yoghurt in their cereal.
This is for my porridge and just drunk straight up.
Every 3-5 days depending on how much I'm at home.
Don't eat cereal, don't take milk in coffee.
Have previously arrived home from the shops with a four pinter and drunk the lot before dinner was ready.
hemp, soy, rice, oat, coconut, there are many more. Might make a thread out of it one day and review each one. Hazelnut is great in cereal.
Such a fucking treat.
