two enormous fishcakes that my niece didn't finish.
because she was unwell and couldn't finish her pizza, and was distraught at the idea of leaving it.
Never done this for myself.
probably last year.
and put them in her bag, because she was too embarrassed to ask.
Me and my girlfriend ordered one of those big arse platter things. Ended up falling WELL short of it. So boxed the rest of it up and had it the next day.
^ Great story.
two blokes sat next to us were ordering that but were absolutely petrified that there wouldn't be enough, despite the waiter being adamant that it would be. still think they ended up ordering extra wings or something.
anyway, they take their 'can't eat it now as I need room for pudding' pizza, but generally eat it in the car on the way home. they just like getting the box I reckon
rarely do this but it actually makes sense and we should all do it more IMO. last time was probably after some obscene turkish meal in green lanes, took back enough meat for a week. spectacular.
absolutely defeated me
The Noodle Inn do such ridiculous portions they bring over foil trays to put your leftovers in without asking. It is assumed you will fail.
If there's Turkish food in front of me - it's not getting saved for later.

but there was loads. Asked if we could take some home and they wrapped it up in foil... in the shape of a chicken! It was brilliant.
Mixed grill, man
What a stupid question.
wrapped a marshmallow thing up from a dessert plate about a month ago in napkins and forgot about it then found it in my bag the next day all squished 😣
When people say they don't do this are they saying that they either:
a) Finish all the food
b) Send leftovers back to the kitchen
c) carry food out of the restaurant in your pockets, without bothering staff for tinfoil
Pockets?! La di da.
We normally carry it out in our mouths, half ingested so it's easy to sick it back up when we get home
It's an Italian restaurant we eat out at regularly, know the staff well, and frequently overorder at. They aren't supposed to really do takeaway either but I go in and say PLEEEEASE I need tordelli lucchese and they oblige.
Obviously there are some places I wouldn't ask to take food home, but in relaxed/ family restaurants I don't bat an eyelid, and leftovers are so good.
Rolled beef for breakfast? Why not! :)
love that place I do.
could feel raw egg dripping through the hole in my bag down my back
Always ends up in the bin
He said he was going to get some eggs on the way home.
