Having successfully and comprehensively dealt with racism and homophobia, football is turning its attention to sexism:
But can't work out if this is a song or if he's just shouting it out.
Either way, bad times.
fair play for cutting it down right enough
My brain ain't working today
Ya ba dibbie dibbie, doobie dibbie dibbie dibbie dum
At Tonbridge the main chant is "oh Ton-ber-idge, is won-der-ful, oh Tonbridge is wonderful, IT'S FULL OF TITS, FANNY AND ANGELS! oh Tonbridge is wonderful" which is prob sexist but I've never faced any discrimination, doubt or unwelcoming behaviour as a female fan among the working class #lads that make up most of the crowd, whereas I'm constantly having to prove/justify that I like (let alone love) and actively support league/non league football in daily life, so I don't have an issue with it and I don't believe the rapidly swelling contingent of female regulars do either. We chant along with it tbh. Would be interested to hear more female fan POVs about their experiences.
Your lot probably stole it off us
Obviously I sit there with a face like thunder through it & 'your sister is your mother' coz I'm progressive and that
not that I am remotely condoning Dulwich Hamlet here #themoralvictory
despise the insufferable smugness
the battle is to make all clubs accepting & supportive, not your little utopian exclave (distinctive reek of socialist champers inclusive)
but because it's the first game I've been able to get to for agesssss
I'd trust those old white men in blazers to sort out anything
were supposed to be amusing?
but this is
sometimes feel a bit prickly about these sorts of campaigns in a 'why just football?' way, but I guess footie is as good a place to start as any
that a certain type of man still sees as being like a refuge from political correctness, where you can shout the most offensive thing that comes into your head without consequences.
Football matches and parisian trains, obviously.
I think there's often a prickliness because this kind of initiative can be confused with the Thatcher era war on the working class. That and the fact that football supporters are scum.
*Show us where you piss from, you SLAAAAAAG* at the golf
to vote against that rule amendment?
"On the Saturday morning when the guy gets up or the lady gets up and out of the marital bed, if you like, and goes off and plays golf with his chums and comes back in the afternoon, that's not on any kind of par with racial discrimination or anti-Semitism or any of these things."
towards all topics being discussed in one thread each day. Will really tidy up the boards.
and we're there
of whatever racist/sexist/homophobic chants are in the news that day
To quote one of the greatest films of all time:
"If you build it, fidel *will* make a tit of himself."
FC was quite good in that.
so maybe... Nestor?
about her. made me a bit uncomfortable
everything about this makes me laugh
"Stuart Hardy, a Spurs supporter, sent him the message: “Hi @CarltonCole1 when your own team-mates don’t kick the ball out when you’re lying injured for 2 mins, you think it’s time to call it a day?” to which Cole replied “Fuck off you cunt” "
There was some kid about 10 years old shouting "Hurry up love" at Ospina when he was taking his time over goal kicks in second half.
don't think i've heard it in a ground for about a decade
and getting in a fight about it: https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=858616857517815
and a whole bunch of Stoke fans spent the afternoon talking about the cockney cunts of QPR
Rob Ford "It always amazes me the bellends that record these videos, just doing the polices job for them. Grasses pure & simple."
You're not in the fucking mafia mate, grow up.
I don't know shit about shit, but I do know this, anyone who spend time witnessing shit, you gonna get got. I know that sounds kind of harsh, but that's the way things go around here officer. Let's roll.
Non-Sequitur Of The Day
From Neil Ashton in the Daily Mail: 'When Kurt Zouma was fouled by Collins just before half-time, West Ham's supporters sang 'You won't let him on the train' when he was waiting for treatment.
'Naturally those chants, given the dreadful incident on the Paris Metro before Chelsea's Champions League clash at Parc des Princes last month, should be discouraged. Chelsea are the big noise in football right now...'
So, in summary, people shouldn't chant quite humourously about Chelsea fans being racist - even though some clearly are - because Chelsea are really quite good?
Was directly in response to Chelsea fans chanting "There's only one Kurt Zouma" - seems a pretty fair response to me. But Chelsea are the big noise in football right now.
If they'd sung 'You're all racist cunts' or something, that would be unambiguous.
They will end up "eating through a straw"
'As a player you take anything off the ball; pinches and kicks that are meant to wind you up,' Walters told talkSPORT. 'Little things like that go on in any match. But spitting is pretty low. If it happened to me and someone spat at my face or towards me then I think he'd be eating his supper through a straw that night. I wouldn't be that happy. It's the lowest of the low.'
Also enjoyed him mentioning players pinching each other in the midst of being all macho. Football is a silly bastard sometimes.
'i don't believe Evans was spitting at Cisse. it was a reflex. But what Cisse did next was horrible.'
take the blinkers off you boring ginger prick
who would've thought it would be Paul 'not that type of player' Scholes
got the fear Millwall are gonna mug Norwich off and all
any way of telling my GF that i'd rather watch that in a pub than go to the cinema with her without coming across as a massive arsehole?
Lovely to see a lad immediately gel with the culture of his new club
That's what I'd do if I signed for Arsenal, hit the stretchers for a couple of months to win over any doubters until they believe in me and start chanting one of us one of us by my coffin
Was expecting you to shut up once the slide down the table started in earnest.
It's fucking partytime
He had absolutely no clue what was going on with Bobby Zamora. Like he'd never seen the ball lumped up to a big lad up top before.
He'll fit right in at Arsenal.
It's something which could do with sorting out, absolutely, but it seems to me that just as people were starting to (rightly) bash Chelsea because their fans have been caught being repeatedly racist they've just gone '...but look, LOOK, them lot over there hate women'.
Can't help but think that there would be a better chance of fighting these things if we do them one by one rather then it just snowballing into one campaign against football fans and them then half-heartedly agreeing to not say nasty stuff generally.
Once the media has flogged a story for all it's worth, they can't be arsed actually driving through change (which takes time) and then move on to the next weekly outrage theme to focus on....
on merit this season. Havent won a game because we've been better according to oppostion fans in the Championship. Just been cos they've been shit, we cheated or spent loads of money like 50k Pitman, 10k Arter & 60k Pugh.
He's very giddy at the minute, but at the same time feels like the club has lost its soul. He's glad they're going to be back in the big league, but would've preferred them to have done it on their own merits rather than due to billionaire investment.
didnt realise your dad was from the south. Is that why you upped sticks and live in London now?
We all have it in for you. Go back to league 2 where you belong
swatting-away-imaginery-flies lunatic in the football threads. I must admit I didn't expect it to come from an obscure location like Bournemouth though. It's usually a Spurs person
not sure you follow the championship much, tbh, but u took interest in a league and a team 10,000 miles away, so who knows.
Has definitely been the case with most teams we've played putting their loses to us down to being shit on the day, us cheating, buying our success etc. Every forum the same story pretty much. Just been a bit weird. Was never the case in league one. Probably because there are a lot of former big teams in the championship that have been there for 10+ years and are a bit bitter about a new team on the block. Not on dis, that's just been hilarious wig fell off bants
The fanbases on forums immediately after the games back then used to be completely magnanimous. You'd pop on and see them complimenting their opponents on the spiffing attacking football they'd just been beaten by. Very sad to see that there's now some people on football forums - immediately after games - not keeping to that Corinthian ideal.
not talking about the obvious vitriol etc in post match 'discussions' on forums. There has just been the pervasive narrative that when we've been leading the way in the championship we cheat and dive, only beat 10 men and spent our way to where we are, when we go on a bad run it's because we're tinpot Bournemouth and punching above our weight and got found out. Wolves fans are still crying from the first time we beat them. Somewhere along the line it should be noted we got to where we were and the results we've had playing some of the best football in the division with players we developed from league 1 under a great manager
Ridiculously shit compared to last weeks pasting of schteve and his posse
Seems like anyone can beat anyone in this league.
Except Blackpool obvs
That would be great thanks
just accept it
