Go on. Let's have your recommendations.
I enjoy voodoo rays and pizza east. BUT WHERE ELSE IS THERE
but definitely top 5, is new cross house, which I always bang on about on this board, but seriously
and I'll come and ruin your day
This is a bit awkward...
Headed over one evening.
But now you have hurt my feelings I will suggest that it's because you can't get served in pubs.
I actually really like Zizzi's pizzas but it's a chain so you're probably after some mega-cool spot.
There's a place just a bit north of Dalston-Kingsland station on the same side that does NY style pizza slices (and pizzas I presume) and they were hella tasty.
so determining the name wasn't number 1, but hey, at least we have similar taste, right?
this is the most Theo-ish thing you have ever said
I prefer Basilico, but they don't deliver to me now
I've only had Frano Manca's (London Fields one) twice but it was bloody great both times. Think they have a few branches?
Obviously love Voodoo Rays the most though - open late, amazing beers, Hot Mix 5. Sorted.
average price and the pizza is great.
but a bit too expensive.
Il Bacio's are decent, Stingray in Highbury is decent and cheap. As far as best goes...*shrugging punctuation man*
Always amazes me that in the agony of Westfield Stratford, I can sit and eat a perfect pizza for about £6.
shopping centre, even the Shepherds Bush one (where the only half decent place to eat is Tapas Revolution)
about that tapas place this week.
are we seeing some sort of new, terrible form of JAG here?
and I told El via twitter.
The only thing that kept me going was knowing there was pizza at the end.
an even better option is to go to Crate Brewery in Hackey Wick (just across the canal), where you can have excellent beers as well as pretty good pizza (it's a bit crispy for my liking, but very tasty).
(we didn't specifically go for pizza, just to the Olympic Park because WHY NOT. Would do again though, it's a nice ride)
Sodo (miiiight just be better than FM)
Imagine it will be very good.
The Gowlett, Peckham
Want to try:
The Big Red, Deptford
The Actress, East Dulwich
R.I.P sweet prince
be all, end all.
*makes vomming gesture*
great pizzas, always absolutely rammo in there too, every night of the week.
Santoré on Exmouth Market
Franco Manca now it's no longer a mission to eat there
Good list here btw.
does a really decent magnifico (pepper and olives)
Looks like any other local Italian but the pizza is superb. It's all very conventional Naples style pizza but they nail every element so completely that I rarely order anything other than the margherita.
It's usually to Pizza East and... I can't really see anywhere else topping (lol) that to be honest.
Also if every other pizza joint burned to the ground and there was only Pizza Express left for the rest of eternity I'd be perfectly happy with it*. Do love their pizzas.
* - This is a lie because my favourite pizzas are probably those 7"/9" ones you get from chicken/kebab shops for £1.99/£2.99. Or from that little gaff next to the Lexington. Spent literally £100s on £2 pizzas there. Love it.
^ forgot this one
I was supposed to be there last night but it was booked for a private function
It's a chain but they're the best pizza I've had outside of Naples. Then Franco Manca.
Then for NY style pizza Voodoo Rays, Homeslice, Piza Pilgrims are all ace.
Pizza Union is amazing value but pizzas not quite in the same league
