it kept me awake for at least 3 minutes thinking about it last night.
If there is then I'm intrigued.
peace lily and rubber tree look nice and tidy and small
peace lily is a yes to everything too. it's decided. thanks theo
not the rubber plant.
Interesting, though. The lily seems like it needs less upkeep but one per 10m³ so I'm not sure how many you'd need.
Also they're deadly to cats if they eat any of their stamen (not sure if you have cats).
I've got a plant and I don't know what kind it is. how do I figure out what its name is and what I'm meant to do with it?
whenever I water it, it seems to die a bit. I think I'm doing something wrong.
You definitely don't want to be watering it more than every fortnight or so. Post a real picture, ya prick.
I'm not in my house or I would. I don't think it's a succulent, it's only got wee thin leaves.
I water it roughly once every four months and even then it still complains about it.
Meattle says Mother-in-Law's Tongue is known as "the bedroom plant." While most plants take away oxygen at night, this one gives off oxygen at night. The plant also filters formaldehyde, trichloroethylene, xylene, toluene, and benzene from the air. Meattle recommends 6-8 waist-high plants per person for optimal output from this oxygen factory.
they look quite severe though. kind of close to cacti looking....sort of, in a succulent kind of way.
i like that it points straight up
You've got bigger problems than your choice of house plant.
but then it is 8 feet tall and 4-5 feet wide with leaves like windowpanes.
pretty sure i can feel a breeze falling from the leaves, like it's breathing. It can move 10 inches overnight, so it is basically a triffid. I can believe it breathes.
other plants that are good for air cleaning - aloe vera, dracaena, fig, ficus, palms (kentia or bamboo), philodendron.
I think the leafier ones give the impression of cleaner air because you associate leaves with clean air, so go for those ones (cheese plant, ficus, palms, philodendron).
not really into the #aesthetics of loads of little succulents and i don't want to have to get a terrarium or mini greenhouse or a geet big fuck off cheeseplant because i don't have the space
i recommend mother in law's tongue or peace lily or cheese plant
used to have a peace lily it was nice
