a) why isn't it National Pizza Day here?
b) when did you last have pizza and was it good?
Half goat shoulder and kale, half chorizo and sweetcorn. Would eat again.
Was good: decent base, good sauce. Grilled peppers, olives and loads of mozarella: hard and soft.
Did my son eat any of it? Did he bollocks. Actually: he ate the olives.
I am now very much a pizza stone convert.
Other allegedly child-friendly things he inexplicably doesn't like: cake; lasagne; mashed potato; shepherds pie; bolognese
He pretty much only eats pasta and pesto and bread.
no idea why your kid wasn't shovelling down that most well known of pizzas, the Pepper and Olive Classico.
they're some of the few things he'll eat!!!
Kill a pig in front of him and make pepperoni 'live', and if he cries just kill another.
still on pasta, pesto and bread. Will now also eat noodles, macaroni cheese and cereals
bet it was a fucking carrot cake
Waitrose carrot cake!
that poor child
bet you tell him your taking him to macdos then make him get carrots instead of chips
Let him eat normal cake, thewarn!!
(by which I presume you mean sponge?) cake as well. Turned his nose up at that too.
I ate a looooottttt of cake at the weekend.
from the occasional market this weekend. Fucking turned his nose up at it, twice. Not until after he slobbered round the edges though. I still ate it though.
Peppers, olives and carrot cake
That one with the egg on
That one at Papagone's with the deep fried aubergine on
Lorena at Sodo
you can't even finish off a pizza.
Because I finished my pizza, friend, I finished my pizza. (Even though it was cold and the cheese was all congealed)
His wife should take some of the blame too.
think you're the fucking human league or something.
boasting that you've eaten a pizza.
then made a small pizza with the left overs yesterday. gonna use the meaning sauce on a chicken breast tomorrow.
b.) bought a fifteen inch monster pizza about two weeks ago after playing football, polished it off in one sitting. It was so good.
I'm all about the bbq sauce on the side fyi, not so much a garlic mayo fan.
even if i have just had a whole other pizza. I love pizza.
I think the best possible pizza might be just so much pepperoni it's almost impossible to see the cheese it's sat on.
Also fuck Chicago pie style
have you been to Sodo in Honor Oak? It's good.
HOWEVER: new cross house has probably the best pizza oven in the whole of SE London in my opinion. Going to get very involved.
i forgot about it actually
which is obscenely good. and they have loads of ace beers too.
i'm the bald guy forcing that coffee tequila stuff down people until they can't see straight
...that could be anyone's arse in those photos.
We went there for xmas dinner and it was brilliant but I was somewhat confused when our leftovers were packed in a pizza box.
sometimes two pizzas a day
and better than a lot of that too
had a slice of King Tubby at Voodoo Ray fennel chilli sausage, caramelized onion and kale, wasn't bad. Also had a frozen pizza express pizza since they were on sale over the weekend.
it was from our local takeaway Mamma Mia! and was good although they seemed to have oversugared the dough...
love pizza, you missed nutella day last week Niki!
1st at 12pm at Pizza Union near Liverpool St Station. Funghi, it was bloody delicious. I cannot recommend this place enough - especially as it's always really quiet at weekends and is super cheap.
2nd one was at a £1.50 a slice (big square slice) at just before 11pm, round the corner from Hammersmith Apollo. Was also surprisingly delicious, especially with my low expectations.
Used to live right next door to it - whole pizza, dip, olives and beer for £11. Madness.
Managed to get about 3/4 of the way through before it got cold. Lovely stuff.
pn can you recommend a pizza delivery place in the Forest Hill area? (Not Dominos)
For years we've ordered from a very nice place in Crystal Palace, which miraculously still managed to carry on delivering us pizzas even after the shop had turned into another type of takeaway. Now though they've moved to West Norwood and every order we make now arrives cold. So sadly we need a replacement, and Sydenham doesn't have any.
I think I've ordered pizza twice since I've been in FH, both places were somewhere like Bromley or Beckenham, both times they were nothing special :(
Have you ever had a Van Dough pizza? They park on Vancouver Road on Thursday nights and you can get a takeaway from them. They're really good and also sometimes do pizza nights at St David's.
There were rumours of Il Mirto in East Dulwich coming to FH but I dunno what's happened to that now.
It strikes me as utterly bizarre given the volume of crap leaflets that get shoved through my door that there isn't a single pizza place in there. The world's gone mad.
Going to have it again tonight due to this thread. Well, this thread and lazy bastardness.
is £2.50 slice Mondays at Voodoo Rays.
I wanted pizza tonight. Now I can.
about certain things that stop them doing just anything without a thought. Problem is things like Pizza day is an enabler you can use to both validate your actions and assuage your guilt.
I did say 'some people' That doesn't include you or I, for sure. Chintz always struck me as being just the teeniest bit sensible (but easily swayed)
this thread is fucked
I had pizza in a pop-up place that was operating out of a greasy spoon café. Only went there because the Indian Streetfood place next door was full. This is the most #gentrification thing I’ve ever written.
Pizza itself was pretty good. Had a classic margherita. Could have done with being a little bigger but no complaints on taste or anything.
'I would like more of it' is a pretty common criticism from me
You mods are a fucking joke!
Much better than alcxxk's usual YouTube videos.
Sainsbury's make your own. Less than £4 for 15 inches, three toppings. Pretty good stuff. They do it at the one on TCR, it's becoming a bit of a habit.
they are probably just told to make them every day.
Although we went for lunch today 9I had brsket quesadillas and he had mac cheese with chorizo, and I mentiponed I could maybe go a Chinese tonight insteasd of pizza and his face luit up, so I dunno, maybe I should go and pick up Chinese as as wee surprise.)
Last time I had pizza was last tues eve. We ordered a Pizza Hut delivery. it was a bit cold, the guy brought the worn drinks and he forgot the ice cream and had to go back for it. the hot veggie sizzler one was >>> than the ham and sweetcorn one. Best pizza is from Sarti, second best pizza is form Nico's in my hometown. Nicos also do a sweet pizza omg http://nicospizzeria.co.uk/#/menu/4568598067
1) not a thing
2) two weeks ago, at John Doe's Kitchen on Old St (not to be confused with the Nothing Hill restaurant of the same name). The pizza's have terrible names (Italian Job, Welcome To Hell for the spicey one, Tom & Cherry for the tomato variant, etc.) but they are always fresh, decent size and not too expensive (from £7.45 to £8.85)
1) not a thing
2) I went to that pIzza Unions last Friday for lunch. I got a pizza then brought it back to eat at my desk, which is one in the eye for those who say i should stop eating noisily at my desk
Pizza bread pudding! :O
£7.99 for 15 inches, loads of toppings.
So much cheese. The clagginess of the cheese is amazing.
Plus if you order inside there's loads of photos of the owner with celebrities (including Ian Hislop, former world welterweight boxing champ Lloyd Honeyghan and.... P.DIDDY!).
