i have loads of these fuckers to go through
Right click on your trash folder
there might be some that my boss needs
Are you giving you boss access to your work email?
but he gains access to it when i leave
Your e-mails will probably be sorted by date, or flag, but if you click on the column heading for 'From' you'll be able to sort your e-mails by who sent them to you. Once you do that, it's easy as you can just group select them all.
So just delete that file off the computer
but that's going to require a lot of power...
I'll try and get into the mainframe to hack the backup drive for you
in Breaking Bad they used that truck with a mega-magnet on it.
Just do that. Not exactly difficult for ffs.
tell your younger self when they are starting the job to create a folder in their emails for personal ones, and make them promise to file everything correctly. Come back to present day, delete all the emails in that folder.
am I massively moker for not sending personal mails on my work account?
Not sending personal e-mails on your work account is just sensible, if you want to keep your job.
although irony of the medium in which we're discussing this, noted.
i am being sacked from the job for pesonal emails and stuff
delete everything BUT your personal mails
but I filed them, deleted them, kept them short and basic, and kept them to a minimum.
Until the new O365 system came in I had to sort through my mail every few weeks, weeding out the ones that were just to colleagues from the ones to customers or about customer work, deleting the former and archiving the latter.
It was a fucking pain.
and drag the emails from your inbox there. When you find a message from a particular person whose emails you want to delete or keep, reorganise the view by their name and that makes it easier. Likewise, if you find a subject that's one to remove you can go by subject heading.
Usually good to right click on the inbox bit so you can open in a new window, thus allowing you to have Sent Items and Inbox open side by side and keep looking in sync.
thanks a bunch
It is highly likely they are still all archived and accessible. Just FYI.
just any stuf fthat might accidentally be seen
more the volume. it wouldn't take them long to work out you've done no work for the last........2 years.
Remember your archive vault! fwiw
don't forget that!
why waste your time doing that when you can be on DiS?!
