bye bye dis
...and I can get on board with that message.
when online 'communities' have been outflanked by Facebook and Twitter.
we are family
you are my brothers
you are my sisters
you are my children
we are strong
we cannot fail
really took a shoeing!
does this mean sean doesn't love us?
:( poor sean
I think he makes some pretty sound points.
but what he describes isn't anything new. all those problems have been around since forums were a thing and yet they're still here.
I think the Internet is a different place now and there is little reason to use forums when you have social media platforms like FB and Twitter. There are so many dead forums on the Internet, any that are left are pretty unwelcoming because they are microcosms.
It's 'when they all start fucking one another'
I think forums are a dying format in general, whilst the DiS demographic has been criticized for being unchanging/exclusive in the past this forum is actually much busier than other non-reddit related forums I've been to and has around the same amount of new user sign-ups.
