That's where we are going!
it is a good chain restaurant.
The thought of Lonzi and Warno on a dad date has really brightened my morning.
It's fucking lovely.
Yeah it's alright. Lupita in Charing cross is better.
I went there recently, the tacos are basically the same size as Wahacas 'tapas' tacos, and cost twice the price. And the frijoles were really watery. And Wahaca has a much better atmosphere and bar. No, I don't agree with this at all.
where they pour half a bottle of hot chilli sauce into a corona that he can't get enough of.
Especially if they add tequila too.
have been like 6 times and had really good meals twice, ok stuff the rest of the time. still like it tho
Do they give you a book(?) of matches with some chili seeds in or something?
I can't remember.
Slightly overpriced, never quite feel full after eating there. Food's okay.
Really wouldn't bother, any area where's there's one of these is bound to have somewhere better and cheaper nearby.
Probably the best chain place in London.
You going to the one on Waterloo Road before popping across to see Tree at the Old Vic?
all the best. x
considering the only other person I know going has come up with exactly the same plan as me?
just the other side of the Imax.
If that helps.
Before the main rush.
Shall I wish my wife a happy birthday from you?
one time i had chicken mole in the restaurant tho and it was great, other time i had it was ming
i like El Burrito in fitzrovia cos they do a mole burrito for like£6 and it's great and comes with some tortilla chips etc
I remember when it used to be £5 (like 3 years ago)
Wait. It used to be £5.50 for the mole and I'd get 50p discount for flashing the old UCL/ NHS card
wahaca has a burrito place right next to the restaurant up there now
Good prices (a sit down table service burrito for £6.50 or something), different menu to all the others, and usually really good service. Def one of the best chains.
never spend much money, always have good food, with some items consistently great, They're currently promoting entomophagy which is one of my passions, good place for taking parents as it's not too overwhelming but still pretty fun, burrito truck always turns up in my line of view when I'm hungry.
Entomophagy is the technical term for eating insects. Humans have harvested the eggs, larvae, pupae and adults of certain insect species from forests or other suitable habitats to eat for thousands of years.
in March. Sounds alright.
or did earlier this month.
decent cocktails, nice chicken mole
Otter eating watermelon it hates was only 2 years ago!!!!
Get the plantain tacos
nice food, good service, not too fussy, two thumbs up from me. bye.
or are they just being issued to every indie twat in the country? Where are mine?
It's run has been extended an extra week, tickets still available!
but it sounds completely shit.
Babysitters would like to know.
Was out by about 21:40 I reckon
Engineering works all over any of my train routes.
Do any of you know anywhere I can park round there? Even if it costs £20-30?
I have found an alternative train route but it is a bit shit.
They show you where you can park and how much it'll be.
yeah, car parks.
I'll check tonight.
not allowed to look at cultural institutions at work??
Are you in a rural Taliban-controlled area of Afghanistan?
but I haven't forgiven them for opening one a Charlotte Street right next to a great independent Mexican restaurant that was my favourite. Nice one corporate dicks - they're basically starbucks for burritos.
the plantain tacos are great, even tho I don't like plantain that much idk
they need to bring the esquites back
obviously relieved that roy doesn't like it
think that's 100% of my updated feelings about wahaca
probably go in a month when I go do my SS15 shop at westfield
it's time for africa
They aren't just in London, and will soon be everywhere.
14 in London and one in Cardiff.
cAN't move for the fuckers
good mexican in the UK.
it was a fucking wasteland before people started copying / competing with them.
The only one outside London is Cardiff, but, this time next year - bloody everywhere. About to do Bristol for sure.
havent opened it tho
never opened any of them
Not as good as "Las Iguanas" - went to the one in Waterloo the other weekend for lunch... was quality. Not too expensive, decent portion sizes, nice food, good choice... even had one of them coffees with condensed milk in at the end... lush.
If we were able to get in.
No, of COURSE we don't do reservations silly!
No: you're going to have to queue for an hour and a half aren't you because we're a bit busy and we don't operate a booking system, plus it makes us look more popular.
On the plus side, went to a very old school Italian and got my coat taken by a man who reminded me of Silvio Dante.
So ended up in the Wahaca overspill that is GBK and dropped £30 on two average vege burgers and chips.
(Plus Tree was a little average too)
and the british museum was busier than I would have liked!
What a dreadful city.
probably the first one they have seen.
I too tried Wahaca only to find a long wait so went to the cheap Chinese near the young vic, it was great. Tree was alright. The best bit was when Daniel Kitson humiliated a member of the audience for looking at their phone.
It was good.
Yeah, I was a bit disappointed in Tree. It was pretty straight-ahead and didn't move me in the ways that Kitson's stuff usually does. He's also got into a habit of throwing in a Haneke-esque audience upsetting twist into his shows as well, which have all come across as a little crass and gratuitous.
walked right in, no wait.
