Go on then, my heart isn't in this
Looking to go one better than signing an injured player on loan, they're trying to sign a player who won't get a work permit! Lovely stuff.
Denilson! So either it's an absolute piece of piss to get round these laws, or whoever makes the decision will never trust us again.
It's not as if they could scam the system and be a front for people trafficking or something. You know, endlessly signing foreign players who never actually make any appearances at senior level...
to the fucker who programmed Brazilians to have a 50/50 chance to fail their work permit appeal on FM.
Whenever I click on the little icon the whole program dies. Sort it out Ant
That's the football scheduling equivalent of that priest from Father Ted who visits and stays for ages and is really boring
It's like they came up with the format one day while pissed and then nobody remembered to fix it all.
Keysie and Greysie died for our right to enjoy blanket football coverage
show some respect
has announced his retirement. Or rather, Trezeguet has reminded everbody who had forgotten about him that he didn't in fact retire ten years ago.
Just tried to find him via Google. Impossible.
I don't think I made this up.
Is that who you're thinking of?

Just checked where he's been for the last year. POON CITY.
I give that banner 4/10. Not even in the top 1000 banners I've seen.

like John Candy scouted sprinters for Cool Runnings
He is proper mental.
Why not? Might be entertaining watch him trying to fight some of our players.
hockey season still going?
Nestor popped up last night mentioning Leeds!
we've picked the worst possible night to be playing forest.
if you're not already wearing one?
I don't get it.
he wants to become president of FIFA
Nothing more to it than that
Paddy Power? Ginola? Doesn't scan.
and have been trying to crowd source around £2m to fund his campaign, currently raised about 5 grand.
I want to say it was a Torino player and the website was incredible, had little animations of him accidentally breaking windows every time you moved to a new page and stuff. Who was it?
But otherwise plain sailing.
I feel like I've done something productive with my afternoon now.
That has reminded me that Phil Stamp had a professional football career. I've wasted my life.
the guardian transfer liveblog is doubling up as a footballers-at-gigs liveblog. Did anyone else play in the Bowlie 2 5-a-side tournament?
Pat Nevin was pretty good. My fairly-short friend managed to barge him off the ball though at some point.
Think Super Pat was wearing a Scotland top on the day too. What a wee hero.
the current Arsenal team's better than the Invincibles definitely, definitely couldn't backfire.

Heart says the only decent final would be Liverpool v Spurs, but of the four semi-finalists i think i'd rather Chelsea won it, just because it'd be almost insulting for them, and were they not to win it the alternatives are a huge media Bin Dippers love-in, Spurs actually winning a trophy, albeit a meaningless one, or Nigel Clough's pud-pulling grin. I think it'd be a nice touch if Steveh G bows out by losing at least one final.
Has to be Chelsea this season - the alternatives are unthinkable. When the monolithic teams win the cups it feels like it doesn't count anyway, like a lotto rollover or something
but it would mean the spectre of Jose winning the quadruple haunting the continent for at least another month.
that last night's game and tonight's game are two semi-finals of the same competition.
Hope Chelsea absolutely destroy Spurs in the final. Really badly. Heaviest cup final defeat ever type stuff.
and he's agreed terms with Real.
via Metro, from the same source that said Vidal to United was a done deal.
pretty reassured about the whole situation.
