How many times do you have to change plug socket?
0 for me. I can do it all from the one in the hall.
We're the best.
God we're good.
once for the stairs and hall upstairs and then once for the rugs in the living room. The rest is wood floors. #modernliving
ruined this. It should be 1. 1 change only.
I knew someone would fall foul of the count, but never imagined it would be you.
but I still vacuum them (the kitchen and bathroom are lino stuff, but I do them too).
No, really, help me!
and easier (e.g. 0 plug change).
If you're serious about the cleanliness of your living space, consider purchasing a steam mop. You'll never look back.
Actually that's one of Mrs C_B's jobs. I'll give her that one.
DESPITE living in a three storey townhouse.
pretty happy with this.
how long is the cord on your vacuum cleaner?
Wouldn't be possible with a Dyson, I imagine.
clearly i do not have the abode to test it fully!
See if you can't trim down his changes.
DON'T WORRY H_Y_G, I'LL BE THERE IN 20 MINUTES!!!!!!!
They are, indeed.
...and clean up afterwards with with a Dyson? Nope. Nobody has.
3 if I do the GFs room
you and your girlfriend have separate rooms?
we have a 3 bedroom flat. 1 bedroom, then a room each - hence why I only occasionally hoover her room
Got a cordless vaccum cleaner...
One in kitchen, one in hallway/bathroom, one in bedroom, one in living room.
Bane of my fucking life.
That's got to suck.
I don't fucking know, I'm too angry to count.
sort it out hyg
in which case it would be 2
Living room to do the living room, hallway, stairway and bathroom. Hallway(!) to do the kitchen and spare room. Bedroom to do the bedroom.
Gotta carry the little smiling prick up the stairs to begin with though :(
me too saps
although I don't hoover any more. just sweep up.
Today just keeps on giving!
Plug 1 - Dining Room and kitchen
Plug 2 - Lounge and hall
Plug 3 - Main bedroom
Plug 4 - Nursery and upstairs hall
Plug 5 - Bathroom
Plug 6 - Spare room on second floor
Stairs are done using our cordless handheld hoover (see relevant thread for details).
- first plug in the kitchen, which is only just too short to reach into all of the...
- living room, which can get up the stairs but do no more of...
- first floor, but that's all easily dealt with in one, then...
- upstairs for the loft
machine is a 'Miele C3 Total Solution Allergy PowerLine Cylinder Vacuum' btw. best vacuum ever. except for the other one in the range that is 3 times the price, possibly. just a shame the cords isn't long enough, evidentally.
I have a cleaner.
i want a cleaner. there's a thread about this isn't there? assume it concluded that it's well worth it, and of no actual expense considering time/effort saved.
The very rich and houseshare plebs.
2. front room
3. dining room
6. utility/downstairs loo
7. boys room
8. our room
that's 8 flipping plug changes - I hoover the laminate/tile floors and then mop them too...
Got a VAX, it was a moving in present 6 years ago, might have to upgrade to a Henry looking at Warny up there
Oh Slicky. :(
I'm a VAX man myself, but I live in a small flat. A Henry would be wasted on me.
Eight changes though? Jeez.
Hallway and kitchen
First floor and landing
Dont bother with the rest
Got a new Dyson on black friday and its made the last one look like a chump. Got to change this one after every room cause it picks up so much crap
That charge, so I guess 1
As the hoovering is one of 'my' jobs (along with most others it seems), the plug change for some reason pisses me off way more than it should.
Initial plug in - kitchen / utility, dining room, hall
First change - living room
Second change (upstairs) - bathroom, landing, bedrooms 2 &3
Third change - bedroom 1. Half the bedroom is just out of reach from second change position. Sometimes *whispers* (don't tell Mrs C_B) I just don't bother with the other half. Wooden floors anyway so it doesn't look bad.
