I want to go to the cinema - so two birds with the one stone
I think I've learned from all of their mistakes
i don't see why not. go after the film, rather than before - then you have something to chat about.
"what did you think?"
"yeah, it was good"
"Are you...are you weeping at the sheer holistic beauty of that film?"
*sobs* "Yes. Yes I am."
"Take me now."
winter sleep, 2001 and liquid sky the pinnacles. plenty to discuss in all of those
Watching Romancing the Stone.
ideal date really
I'd go for an artsy farty sort of film
if you're a teenager.
yeah why would you want your first date with someone to be sitting in silence for two and a half hours, surely you should be getting to know them
bit lazy though isnt it
then you get the best of both worlds.
Went to see les miserables with a girl once and we both cried and didn't see each other again
Would be wanting lots of conversation instead, which would give you chance to find out if you have a shared taste in films
...chat loads, laugh loads then bang loads. Can't really do that with 2 hours of enforced silence in the middle. Don't think I've ever got laid from analysing a film afterwards either.
Plus pretty much everyone else other than myself's cinematic conduct annoys the hell out of me. I'd never want to see anyone again after an early cinema jaunt probs.
you want to be getting to know then not sitting in silence. Maybe ok if you're going for drinks meal after but if it's an evening you'll prob be rushed and before that you're got two hours of sitting next to someone in silence you don't know very well yet but you're both aware of this potential attraction between you etc. Best just go for a drink and have a chat like.
or at least do it after doing something much better where you've got to know each other first.
The cinema is great, but a first date venue it is not.
My first date was to a cinema (with food first) and I'm now married to the same girl. So long as you have some time to get to know the person a before or after it's fine.
You must have some hot stories.
My missus worked at the cinema so our dates were free too.
Is your date really into their films?
(That's 'yourself' in the 'everybody' sense rather than a specific personal attack on you btw)
"I don't just climb in to bed with anyone"
"But what about at the, *FACE*, Electric Ci-ne-ma?"
which sexy option would you choose though on a first date?
a short play about beds in cinemas.
I'd probably just fall asleep. £15 to lie on a bed, i could do that on my Argos one for free.
in the cinema, rather than excited. I'm willing to give it a go though if you insist.
