They're good aren't they?
How do you eat them? Any recipes to share with the group?
Any mushroom-based anecdotes?
Brushed with a little bit of truffle oil.

oh hello shiitake. nom nom nom.
I also like the tiny ones that are sort of brown, but I don't know what they're called.
grew up not really liking them, then realised they had just been misused in school dinners.
better get the mop
All the mushrooms are pretty great aren't they. Not a shitter among them.
4 shallots or 1 red onion finely chopped
125g white bread crumbs
2 tsp freshly chopped sage
1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
- Melt butter in saucepan, add the shallots and soften for 3-4 minutes on a low heat.
- Stick crumbs in bowl. Add the softened shallots, Stilton and herbs. Give it a rub together once the butter's cooled a bit (burnt my stupid hands the first time I gave this a go).
- Cap the 'shrooms, then press the stuffing lightly into the caps. Whack them in the oven at 170C or Gas Mark 3 for 35 minutes. Piece of piss! But better use it carefully or it can change your life/One night I made it for my girl and now my girl's my wife*
*fiancee, um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay etc.
has a portobello mushroom soup with a duck's egg in the middle. Was the nicest soup i've had in my life by miles.
Mushrooms are obviously one of the top 5 foodstuffs.
should have known really, cause mushroms in general are awesome
One of my favourite dishes is a chicken breast drenched with creamy mushrooms.
Mushrooms are great. I love them. I don't eat enough of the varieties other than button. Do I sense a resolution here?
I think I'm just gonna pick up a different pack every time I go to the supermarket now.
They're in the fridge. Am I doing this wrong?
I will use mine to make this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/aubergineandmushroom_93909
but the gf hates their texture. So it's a rare treat for me :(
topped with goats cheese, all wrapped in parma ham. that was v good too
as strongly as i want them to. this might just be because they're mushrooms, or because i'm a solidly middling cook, but still
how do you do it
