First case confirmed, cue folk freaking out and over reacting on social media.
how are health workers supposed to get there then, on a boat?
thought it was obvious i was joking in ref to "over reacting on social media".
something, something, Eboue, something, Adebola.
it had definite promise.
wishing him and fellow scots to stay safe.
like i can see it out my bedroom window. Hope she's ok and makes a full recovery but its not a big deal at all. Also my pal is a biomedical scientist in the lab testing suspected cases. Apparently they have to wear double gloves and bin all their lab coats after a shift.
Given the info I've read on the BBC, she took a flight into Heathrow and then a domestic flight up to Glasgow, which is a public health issue, even though the risk of contamination is very slim. To say it's not a big deal at all isn't really true.
Also, it certainly is for the poor nurse, and her friends and family.
Im saying it's not a BIG DEAL for people in Glasgow (the way that a lot of people are already making out and getting pure paranoid).
I thought ebola had gone under the radar for a long time after the initial panic in Autumn. This was always going to happen. It will be well contained in the U.K. because of general sanitary conditions, it's still a huge problem elsewhere and needs more work from not just drug companies looking to make a quick / big buck.
