good morning all x
how are you feeling?
i'll log in now xx
would quite like to be on my way now... now
will go back to work a stone heavier and about £1000 lighter overall. what a load of shit. why do we do it?
So many beers and so much turkey. Am gaining weight dramatically
Think the mrs is with her old pals in a cafe for a quick hang out but I elected to be a bit dozy and stay happily warm in bed. Possibly have a hangover but cozy enough to ignore it :)
Today I wanna take a ferry to chausay which is a little island off the coast. Sea possibly v choppy but will risk ralphing over the side coz it looks very pretty
Had no idea it was Saturday. Going to try and spend the day doing a bit more than drinking wine on the sofa so may go for a run in a bit. Reading some o that Hemingway, drinking some o that tea. #snowwatch ox16: no snow.
want a beer?
Yeah I would actually. Feeling like this is probably the last day I'll get christmas drunk before New Years and got a pub lunch coming up so why not. What is there at Chausay?
the weather is proper shite but only to be expected.
Yeah that looks great, totally worth risking chunder-at-sea for.
:)))) there are some very nice people on here
Treacherous conditions: snow has melted a bit then frozen overnight.
Got my coffee and my bacon sarnie - might stay in and watch tv for a bit
I'm feeling good this morning though. Trimmed my beard last night and I'm wearing a sweet new t-shirt so I'm looking good.
Off tomorrow so I'm going out tonight with all my mates as not one of us is working in the morning.
I can't wait to sleep in my own bed. Although I will miss the cats and having an endless pot of tea on the go.
po33: no snow.
Feel a bit better. Hobbit was a serious letdown. PJ has a serious wide-on for Legolas and it was major embarrassing. Supposed to be sledging today but snow is a bit mushy.
Don't really want to, because despite my very best intentions it'll inevitably mean flying with a hangover tomorrow.
Currently dying for a piss but far too cozy to get out of bed. Might just wet the bed.
I haven't seen any friends for over a month now cos of my home situation, I'm pretty excited and apprehensive. It will probably do me some good to get out of the house.
Have a great night bammers!
Definitely a good thing to do, as NV says. Have a good time!
Everyone thinks Chandler is gay
back to work tomorrow 👎
still need to wrap presents but i've lost one of them. fucck got half an hour till present time.
I'd already wrapped it. Twat.
hit snooze for about 3 hours, my left eyeball is trembling that can't be good
Think im gonna head back west today and meet up with some friends.
Although I'll be sad to leave my folks and the fridge that seemingly never seems to be any less full no matter how much we eat! :)
must've dreamt something bad.
also, woke up with only one sock on so i feel really off-centre.
Should be good. Curry afterwards, as if I haven't eaten enough already.
Lovely Christmas movie.
Might add it to the roster of festive films
Or tomorrow. Yep
Some notes on the 27th
- already eaten about 2000 calories today, including full roast dinner, microwaved
- need to go to gym as I've put on about a stone
- been wearing Xmas jumper for 4 days straight, without washing it
- acting like a bit of a jerk as I haven't been smoking enough
- watching lethal weapon 3. Might open a beer
have a nice day buds
camping by a VW van in a beautiful green meadow. It's pretty much the worst.
I promise not to send it to yr new work
debating whether to pop into town. decided to drink 2 bottles of wine last night not even doing anything.
im feelin this
Now I'm eating the food my mum prepared for when her friends come over. Then I'm going to town. I'll watch the victoria wood thing when my mums ready
hungover and after eating a nut roast bagel. feel a bit sick. surrounded by rugby fans urgh.
Why would you do this
bit of mayo on the bagel, some chopped up beetroot and cranberry chutney. what part of that is not nice??! my nut roast is amazing too.
What are you having for dinner? I'm having veggie haggis.
I just ate a load of popcorn whilst watching a Veronica Mars DVD so I'm pretty full rn
baskets of wood x6
buckets of coal x 8
there was crunchy snow outside, and it was all pristine and pure and the air was sweet.
Gym with a 180kg squat for 10 reps, followed by a great jiu jitsu session. Chugging coconut water now. Got a delivery of frozen acai as well. Bloody healthy day.
To see a mate for some grub. Tubes are fucked, eh? Might go to Pitt cue if I ever get there, will make a nice change for Turkey and ham..
Amazed I'm here tbf, we got astonishingly duink last night.
Just been to the gym for a post-Chrimbo workout. Did a 360kg squat for 20 reps.
given up your day for the donkey sanctuary.
Can't wait to get out. I have a ticket for a minimalist techno gig later and all my friends are going to it as part of our Christmas night out. I just want to leave work and start my night.
One hour and thirty-eight minutes left.
They've started without me! At half-bloody-five! This is going to be a long night.
Got a lift back up to London - had an argument with my Mum because I was giving directions as I knew where we were going and then she started shouting the odds about where we should be going because she had Google Maps open on her phone. Jeez.
Brought some food and wine up and some stuff that were lying about the house that they gave to me. Got some vinyl to MP3 turntable thing-ma-jig. Could be useful.
It was a great idea. Everything should be mulled.
Alright: about to go round to the other grandma's house for what I've been told will be an even bigger dinner than my Christmas Eve 8 course marathon. So I'm sort of having to just completely try and reset the clock and be ready to eat giant amounts of food all over again.
Please please help me.

I have this, it doesn't actually work very well as the text gets in the way but I like it
my sister told my mum not to get money so my mum got her a diamond necklace (wtf). when she opened it, instead of saying "thank you" she said "oh good, I can wear this when I'm going somewhere where this one might get stolen" (pointing to the more expensive diamond necklace she was already wearing). Sounds horrible but the reason I had such a lovely Christmas is cause she wasn't there to sneer at the presents. She makes loads of money and I can tell my mum just wanted to impress her by getting her something nice as a surprise. Can't believe someone could be that ungrateful when someone's gone to that effort. Considering all my mum does, spending half of today in the kitchen. Really really annoyed.
you should steal her other neckless to make her grateful
I kinda like! Hey ho. I lost my rag a bit over a ridiculous policy. Oh well, learn and move on, try not to get angry.
actually kinda impressed.
but yeah, elaborate pls
Of scottish football and comforting rangers fan boyfriend after a horrible result (took him shopping in sauchiehall and Buchanan street which certainly took his mind off football. Just as well I'm cute.) Going to have a bath then eat chips and watch more impractical jokers. Great Saturday! Also, my sick pug has been given a treatment plan which means we will hopefully have her for a while more (tests have shown her condition isn't causing her pain so we will just manage her condition and do what's right if things deteriorate. She is such a happy girl, I'm so pleased that the vet has told us that she's ok to keep going for a bit).
you obvs love your animals loads x x
What a fucking palaver. Couldn't get on the train I was intending to get as it was so full half the people couldn't get on. Gormless staff seemed surprised that it was busy today. Then a rail replacement bus part the way with an extremely annoying bellend sat behind me talking loudly about himself throughout to the the poor sod sat next to him. No taxis when I got back so had to lug my kit back to the house. A journey that would normally take 3 hours on the train took twice that. Might go to the pub in a bit i think.
Over recent weeks I've begun to consider that I might be bipolar?
ah well, lets not try to think about my brain chemistry too much eh. Lets just get really smashed
I'm a bit worried about you
But that hasn't stopped me from being able to survive on this planet for the past decade or so.
I'm sure if i just ignore it it will go away
pretty much the best conversationalist. you can always fall back on that.
I'm quite good at drinking and talking, so I do it near constantly and never really have much time to think about my brain issues. Long may it continue
Doing the ol' 12-10 shift! Still hate my job even though I've had a nice christmas! Alright!
I sometimes like to pretend I still have potential to be awesome but realistically this is my life until I grow old and die, I'm an idiot but I'm not stupid y'dig?
so that's nice. Had a lovely Barolo and am now being lazy with a Côte de Rhone. Think I'll make some old fashioneds in a bit. God I love this kind of year.
Also, Still giggling at my mother asking me what a pixelated bukkake was on Christmas Day.
you were also playing Cards Against Humanity?
stay strong. x
Please send help.
The Normand basically smash calvados like the scottish go for the Whisky.
Just had a 30 year old calva. Currently in the loos. Head is spinning. Going back in and they've all broken out the guitars and are playing jazz. Gonna do some drunken shredding to impress the in-laws. Wish me luck you punks x
now being played by everyone. me and my sister Adele wanting to blank this forever from our memories.
but I would never ever ever ever ever want to play it with my family
By calling it a shit non-game for people who aren't funny enough to make up their own jokes.
I was right, though. And I didn't even start on the type of "humour" involved.
Sorry you had to sit through it.
my cousin Dean, my only previous male role model, saying the phrase "shitting a perfect Cumberland sausage" repeatedly until everyone was paying attention and heard it.
and then I sat through a chaotic drunken poker game until there were only four left. also my nephew was asking about why people drink alcohol, and everyone was giving terrible answers, and I couldn't voice anything because everyone was talking over me, and I had been drinking alcohol.
just... argh. we have failed him.
Today on the Hercules VC section we have a VC for Hercules' Trainer the Satyr... PHILOCTETES! We shall begin this with the 1997 Disney movie Hercules in which Phil was voiced by known comedic actor Danny Devito. First of all I will say that Devito was easily a great casting choice here for Phil but then again anyone whom is at all familiar with Danny Devito's work is probably not too surprised here. (A short fat grouch with a New Yorker accent? Yeah I think Danny has done roles like Philoctetes before in which Disney even admitted that they did base Philoctetes off of him as well. Granted the way Disney based Phil off of Danny Devito is a bit more subtle than other animated characters based off of their voice talent but still.) Anyways while Danny Devito's work is not as renowned as James Woods' classic performance as Hades but Danny's work still does definitely deserve praise as his performance definitely captures Philoctetes as a gruff-mannered cynic with a occasional soft side rather well. To make a long story short Danny Devito's performance as Philoctetes is probably his best voice acting performance and a good example of his work in general.
While certain characters in Disney's Hercules have kept their Celebrity Voice talent (such as Hades for example) Philoctetes wasn't of them in fact in the Hercules TV series (and the rest of Philoctetes' appearances) Robert Costanzo. Fortunately while Robert is known for being a good stand-in for Danny Devito in which he is definitely able to sound like him (heck Robert even looks like Danny Devito here but I suppose that is a different story). But still not only does Robert do a great job trying to sound like Danny Devito his performance also suited Philoctetes' persona rather well too. To make a long story short Robert Costanzo's work as Philoctetes is easily one of the best "Stand-in" voice acting performances on a Disney production, so overall both of these performances are classic in their own way.
pretty sure I have drunk all different kinds of alcohol including: Leffe, Baileys, white wine, fizzy white wine, red wine, absynth, rum...?? oh, Jägermeister.
which channel was Hercules on? Danny Devito is the best. do you think I can drink enough water so as to expedite my sobering up before I fall asleep?
where am I?
I stink of whisky, but that's OK.
Fall asleep at random times of the day so your body clock gets all fucked. Drink like a fish but never feel pissed cos of eating constantly. Generally feel like crap with no exercise from only moving from one house's settee to another house's. Indulging family members neuroses, drunkenness, bullshit, rants like an assault on the senses. Craving some time on my own or how I do things.
3 family houses in the same North Wales village and not one has a working shower, wtf!! It's so cold all the time.
Thanks for listening, feel better for getting that off my chest
shitter of a week really. haven't even been out since christmas eve, I've just sat around stuffing my face and drinking and feeling awful. wish I knew more than about 4 people. MUST sort my life out and make some new friends next year.
I've got a pretty decent amount of friends I reckon but a lot of them I don't see nearly as much as I'd like to, partly busy lives etc and partly because some of them are just fucking useless.
but none I feel much of a connection with bar a couple, who I'd consider good friends.
I live in a pretty dead, grey town so I'm thinking doing a band or trying a bit of DJing (in london obvz) might help me meet like-minded people. Any active, creative pursuit really. I've always struggled with meeting new people and making friends so hopefully it'll be easier when talking to those with similar interests.
it was really good. Now I'm up playing FM15, and trying to write a rundown of my tracks of the year which noone'll read.
Having mild dread about having to go back to work on Monday, even though my job's not remotely stressful at the moment.
confirmed that there really was no need for them to be a trilogy at all; but, as with the other two, it was throughout more good and entertaining than... less so (thankfully there was, to my memory, only one instance of them cutting to the jarring Gandalf / Radagast foreshadowing-stuff-that-everyone-already-knows-anyway sub-bits). There's one bit with Legolas that feels like the punchline at the end of an eight-hour-long set-up, too.
Also, read Haruki Murakami's 'The Strange Library' in its entirety today. Really nice little book -- a low-key, surreal story with a good balance of humour and unheimlich sorta atmosphericky stuff -- and beautifully presented.
Today was great
