My parents have been in their house since 1973. Pitiful. I'm sure plenty of you can top that, no?

and my grandad helped build it, fit the electricity and plumbing AND made his garden bigger than anyone else as the estate was completely new.

of where your parents grew up:
(the family moved twice more, to larger council houses up the road, as the family got bigger)
(until the family solicitor ran off with their money when they were moving house, and they ended up living on a beached Thames Barge in the mudflats of the Medway)
Hopefully this doesn't become full of too much shoe-factory one-upmanship.

They moved into a care home type thing last year though and sold the house, so not sure if that counts.
Hopefully him and my sister will 'buy' it and move in in the next few years.
