But none seem to work without Pop ups and nothing else happening
Fury hasn't had to do anything really and he's bossing it.
It's so relentlessly dull these days.
the crowd left to get the last train home. Dull dull fight.
What a triumph for British boxing.
At least the Eubank/Saunders fight offered some excitement
I wonder whether Chisora just couldn't get close and gave up. Fury did what he had to do. Chisora, whilst not the greatest technical boxer, can be explosively dangerous, but just didn't even try last night.
Wouldn't be surprised if he took a bribe to throw the fight based on that.
Agree the last half of the Eubank Saunders fight was good fun. Shame he didn't start giving it in Round 4 and he woulda won.
I watched it before work this morning and good lord did I make the right decision. Chisora could see he wasn't going to get near him after the first round and looked like a broken man from then on. Seeing him slumped in the corner after every round was heartbreaking.
Dreadful fight. Decent card before that though.
Although Eubank Jr.'s fight was good. Properly grew into it. Looked the part for sure.
Kudos to him for risking his unbeaten record though - too many fighters get preoccupied protecting their 0 imo. That fight will have done his development the world of good even with the loss on his record.
He's probably gonna have to get his old man to take a step back though - that whole getting into the ring and eyeballing him for a bit schtick is fun when he's fighting bums but less than helpful in a closely fought match.
Was really hoping he'd just scream "Leave me alone, Dad!" at some point.
Although maybe Eubank Sr. having been a boxing champion himself and, y'know, being his Dad means he probably knows what he's doing. I dunno. Not sure if Eubank Sr. has ever been the most self-aware of individuals...
His lad's got a dead-eyed coldness about him which I liked. Not a fan of boxers being either too amiable, cocky or mean, but a cold-eyed, unexpressive, machine-like shithouse? That's my kind of fighter.
and seems to forget that he needed good trainers to keep him focused. I'm pretty sure I heard Jr told Ronnie Davies to "stop talking" at one point - I think he's bought his own hype a bit too much. Hopefully the loss will give him a bit of perspective because he's still got a lot to learn. Hell of a talent, clearly, but even the very best need to be trained right.
Still, he was in the ring against a bit of a brawler and was pretty disciplined so... yeah. Definitely looked a bit timid at first but it was a very good fight. Will watch the kid again.
