Between you and ex-partners / current partner.
Definitely prefer being the younger one.
than my boyfriend.
And when I was 19, my boyfriend at the time was 36, I think that's the biggest gap. doesn't bother me, never has (possibly because I'm a bit immature.)
It was pretty great tbh, though I didn't like it when she took it upon herself to do a food shop for me once.
my boyfriend is 22. I'm cool with that.
Biggest gap would be 5years. She was older than me. She felt a bit conscious of it I think.
Biggest: depends how long or serious it needs to be to qualify.
I'm 35 she's 21
when we first got together 8 years ago but it's not a thing anymore
always been the younger one (1 year, 2 years, 5 years...) until this relationship (i'm a year older than him)
[to the tune of Geno - Dexy's Midnight Runners]
Something like three years younger. Ish.
She's ex, thank god.
like, that would have to be one grown ass 19 year old.
I was in still in College. I was well handsome though and my razor sharp wit clearly helped.
still wouldn't go near them.
i hooked up with a 21 year old a couple of months ago and even that made me feel like a dirty old kind of mrs robinson charachter ;(
we go to 'Facedown' (which thank god isn't very often) 'they are too young to be ugly'.
22. Was good.
Biggest age gap the other way would be 6 or 7 years
a family friend's daughter is going out with a man who's 30 years older than her and everyone talks about him behind his back cause she seems so much more mature than him but they also say she's daft for going out with someone who isn't very mature #makesyouthink
never been in a relationship with a paedo myself but when i was at school (12) loads of girls had boys who were men really, like 19 that used to wait outside of the school gates for them and take them to the pictures and stuff
When I was at uni, I didn't know anyone who was going out with 6th form girls.
thats a good one
some of these lads were 21 actually
when i turned 21 none of my mates were going out with anyone under 18 let alone 16
eating it (school children).
"Having some cake right now"
"Oh, cool, are you eating it?"
"Yes, as I said, I'm having cake"
i remember loads of girls in school going out with older guys as well, but once i was in college never heard about any guy my age going out with a younger girl. they clearly just aren't telling anyone about it.
but I'd never have done that. I guess there is the odd creepy one that hangs around.
bit strange. To be honest, there was a definite thing amongst the denim'n'leather-clad rockers when I was at school for dating girls who were younger - and often under the age of consent, like 18 or 19yo guys v 14yo girls. Wasn't a concern at the time but looking back now it seems a bit wrong.
It's hard enough trying to impress girls at that age without some tall prick with a Vauxhall Nova hanging around outside the school gates waiting to groom them.
Fuck off and find some girls your own age you apprentice paedo.
Who'd of thought?
he's 60 and acts like he's 22, apparently
i don't know that many individual men let alone all of them so i can't agree with your sentiment sorry
Pretty noteworthy, huh?
dunno if it really counts though, wasn't serious, she was (significantly) older. Current relationship she's 4 years younger. First girlfriend I've had that's younger, but she's great so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
how old were you at the time? that's a lot, dude.
we'd always gotten along really well, it sounds really ridiculous and cheesy writing it out, but we used to listen to her vinyl collection and drink wine, things got a bit silly one night then it kind of went from there. it wasn't serious or even really a "relationship", but it was nice and I'd had a thing for her for quite some time. i used to get teased at high school about our relationship, despite it being very innocent at the time. didn't expect the teasing to turn out to be foreshadowing :/
(sorry if it's really obvious, i'm a bit drunk)
my friends used to tease me about how much i liked her, that usual adolescent boy-school ribbing kind of thing, and i just shook it off because it was such a ridiculous accusation that i didn't feel the need to defend it. fast-forward a few years later and...
and how did you know this woman? i'm just genuinely curious
she's my ex-girlfriends mum...
*takes a deep breath*
ex-girlfriend by over 5 years now, as screwed up as it sounds, it's not like I was jumping from one to the other, if that makes sense
last year was a cesspool of bad decisions
both adults at this point, said it was a good five year gap which means the previous relationship can't have been serious (16 years old at the time of the previous?), and it's not harming anyone?
...wouldn't have thought it was at all weird.
to this day.
I don't know, a bit weird for her perhaps, but she should probably just grow up a bit and accept that adults can be responsible for themselves? How serious can a relationship that broke up when they were 16 have been?
How would you feel if your Dad made beautiful love with your girlfriend of 5 years ago? Sit there right now and imagine your Dad's face pressed between your ex-gf's breats, breathing heavily as she straddles him and moans with pleasure. Try to imagine that ACTUALLY happening and you finding out. Just "a bit weird perhaps"?
However, if he ended up with my Girlfriend from when I was 16 and it wasn't serious, it'd be a little weird, but I'm not a freak and wouldn't imagine that, and I would get over it, as when I was 16, none of my relationships were that serious.
it was through you actually.
The "relationship" only lasted a week though, so its all relative.
Nice and symmetrical. Can't imagine anyone older fancying me and definitely no-one younger.
and they both had the same name.
Had a 22-year-old girlfriend when I was 31. And was sort-of seeing a 50-year-old the year before, but I don't know if I'd count that. Currently my girlfriend is a generous 8 months older than I am.
a friend of mine started seeing someone when he was 31 and she was 19, but they seemed well suited which I think is the main thing. she teased him a bit with stuff like skipping alongside him and saying 'does this make you feel like a paedophile?'
/2 + 7
Biggest I think was 5 years older than me.
But probably the weirdest is when I was 13 I had a boyfriend that was 17/18.
at least when i was that age it was. i remember one girl in my class at school saying she had a boyfriend in his 20s when we were like 12 or 13. OK she was probably exaggerating but he was probably lying about how young he was too.
she was older, obviously
didn't work out too good but was nice for a little while
after being involved with a couple of emotionally stunted guys my age it was SUCH A RELIEF (/massively sexy) to date someone who had his shit together and loads of self-confidence. then it turned out he was even more messed up than the others and he was pretty horrible to me :(
that there are actually people out there in their early to mid 20s who have their shit together. Laughable.
I the younger, it was pretty great.
Not really a coincidence as they were all friends.
(he's not an ex)
thought he was about 25 :D
and great genes, in it
I look about 26 years older, never mind 26 days. :(
more importantly TWO ACADEMIC YEARS older than me.
back of the net!
took a few beatings for that
50 years his senior.
No, that's yer lot. Love em' both.
I hope you (and they) are happy.
No idea why I feel any need to share this here.
I didn't even know how old some of the exe's were tbh
I'd say we're pretty much the same in terms of grown-up-ness though so it's no issue.
my only other "proper" girlfriend was 9 years older than me I think, was 29 when I was 20 I think? was interesting as all my mates at uni were so ridiculously immature so was a nice break from that. she was also a foot shorter than me, so was a bit of an odd match but worked (for about six months)
