many of the practices Snowden exposed were subsequently found to be bordering on violation of the constitution as it stands, but yet this is somehow superseded by the fact the fact that he was employed by the government when he exposed them.
That's really all it takes for some to consider him a traitor.
moving there in particular did undermine his point somewhat.
like Chelsea Manning, I hear that worked out well.
basically put their life at risk and lose all freedom to whistle-blow on pretty apalling government behaviour and the media can still convince people he's a 'traitor'. The guy should have started a huge wave of social protest and completely changed the way governments are allowed to operate. It's so depressing how the story has unfolded.
Not you alcock, them.
What this bloke's proposing is giving him a massive wang then using him for life drawing. Then quartering him.
like stoning, but with 25c pieces
In a "don't do what they did or look what happens" sorta way, which is pretty sad democracies resort to in modern times, and doesn't actually work instead it strengthens a resistances resolve.
Turns out they actually don't care about us who knew eh?
it's remarkably impressive how Snowden's integrity, consistency and substance of argument continue to be strong after so much scrutiny.
Always important to play the long game with these things, but I think history will vindicate him as a true hero of our times. I really do.
which is a much more complex and nuanced thing. Without Manning, I think Snowden's act would have been viewed very differently. But I totally agree history will judge him as a hero. I have a huge amount of respect for him. Still can't quite believe he did it.
but apparently doesn't even know Snowden the traitor's first name
"RTA Road Traffic Accident"
i just got to the cyclist bits.
Down with this wilful not knowing where he is!
That the UK government has any power over Snowden, or that Snowden is a traitor to the UK when he's not British.

a fiver to anyone who can explain what he actually wants
He's saying what we're all thinking.

Policy allowing Muslim staff at M&S to refuse to serve pork and alcohol to customers is racist and should be banned
a) I didn't know Snowden was a subject of hm government
b) what has he done that is traitorous (being as the body who he is claimed to have betrayed, actually betrayed the contract first by its illegal actions against the people and the implied(or actual) contract between that body and the people who enable it.
fundamentally and significantly broken by the employers behaviour.
Also a contract cannot enforce illegal or unlawful behaviour.
A contract does not indemnify you from not reporting or alerting illegal or criminal actions.
