Really, really good, isn't it?
Also, looking for treasure has got to be one of the most heavy-handed metaphors ever , right?
I posted about it in another thread, can't remember which.
OFF TOPIC: you seen any of Life Is Toff, Wzy? It's 10/10 great. BBC3!
but I'm not sure if it's for me. Did see my first Snow/suspicious parents, though, which was alright.
a bit slow i parts
(another is fancying the teacher girlfriend)
is a big part of the charm.
now I know not to bother watching it. You provide an invaluable service, theWza.
hot teacher girlfriend for the rest of us.
took a while to get into, but thought it was great - lovely characters
very last shot seems to have destroyed any chance of a second series thought - probably for the best
haven't seen the last ep yet.
they definitely DON'T get abducted by aliens
it's so bloody niche. I bet it had incredibly low viewing figures.
Not sure how they will negotiate that ending though.
But I was quite drunk when I watched the last one so can't remember how it ended.
Devoured it in one sitting like the delicious gentle rich pudding it is. Some great writing too. I didnt even mind the one song being repeated over and over, it went well with the show.
The one you all fancy is Dianna Rigg's daughter.
Fucking brilliant show. Best comedy ive seen in ages.
so i'm bumping this. What a lovely, lovely show
watched it with my dad and we have the same sense of humour so it was great quality dad time.
Russell and Hugh and the Mayor :') Diana Rigg! Varde speaking!!! ..and so forth.
Excited for the finale tonight. There is also a christmas special in december! ...um, later this month i guess
Is anybody watching Capital on BBC1? Toby Jones and Rachael Stirling play a husband & wife in that. They seem more of a couple than her and Crook tbh :D
Did you know 90% of onions are consumed in their country of origin? There's hardly any international trade in onions.
Thought the final episode was excellent, especially the scene with Lance and Sheila in the pub garden.
can't remember anything funny in the special. just too nice, as well. characters are good though.
We don't need no steenkin' labels, maaan.
and it was awful.
it does have plenty of amusing moments though, and last night's brilliant episode was no exception. Still the best thing on british tv this decade.
It's charmed me.
But ain't posted in yonks
the pacing; the tenderness in the characters; jokes that sometimes don't need to be spelled out, they are hinted at in an expression or a comment.
It shouldn't work as something with mass appeal.Yet the writing and the acting is THAT good.
..need some other songs that one they keep playing is nice but it get tiresome. Also, the xmas "special" wasn't too great.. nothing really happened. I suspect it was longer but then they had to shorten the script.. a Voilà! but yes, it is charming enough.
