come on, then.
Still fucking bitter at my lack of RWC tickets (apart from... France vs someone WHY DID I GET THAT FFS AND NOT ANY OTHERS???)
That's one of the 3 matches I got tickets for, too.
What others did you get?
Samoa v Japan in Milton Keynes.
Still some reasonable games available (France v Ireland, Wales v Australia, couple of quarter finals, etc).
In related matters, NZ played the USA in Chicago the other day, with the only real highlight being the brilliantly shit rendition of the Star Spangled Banner beforehand. It views almost like a shred video with the wrong vocals overdubbed
because it was a "good" one
No sign of any tickets yet but someone is on the case. Looking forward to Wales failing by the closet of margins yet again on Saturday, North at centre and Liam Williams on the wing.
Been finding hard to muster an enthusiasm for the internationals due to the WRU being such a bunch of pricks recently, I'm sure that will change once the games start.
the weekly mailouts i get from them leave a sour taste in my inbox... i'm sure by 2:30 Saturday it'll all be forgotten though. I think this might be Wales' time to actually get a result, would be perfect timing too. looks a really strong team.
Going to be in Cardiff for it this weekend which will be good, people fo mental for rugby there <3
Hope Adam Jones will be playing
Are squads up on bbc etc? On my phone now but want to have a look later
I don't think he's in the squad, actually. Gatland was talking a few weeks back how they've asked Adam to work on his scrummaging due to law changes, or something.
And I think he wasn't really training properly for a while because of the whole mess with Ospreys/Blues :( They HAVE to get him back for world cup though or I will have to have serious words with someone
He'll need some time to bed in there before Gats takes a risk on him. His first game there wasn't bad though:
Eastmond and Barritt in the centre
Launchbury's going to be missed.
Gonna have to sell some back. Cheers.
It's all down to my brother going mental and choosing 14 games with no limit. Almost £3k taken out of his account! The majority of which was for the final, mind.
My dad and I actually only got tickets for one game each. I got (wait for it)... the Brighton game, as expected.
Guess what colour it is...
Can't quite do it.
will be spent watching international rugby and mclusky/Jarcrew. Should be good.
Have done this for every six nations /world cup /lions tour /autumn series etc for about the last 7 years, and have completely forgotten this time! Will have to pull it together tomorrow morning.
and thats when tries were worth 1 point too
this is actually the first known recorded footage of Gangnam Style.
SPC 4 Life
He is a best isn't he?
Didn;t realise he is 6ft 3 and 16 st+. Almost as big as Lomu.
Probably because backs are so much bigger these days you don't notice the discrepancy so much as you did with Lomu
PLus Savea seems such a lovely bloke: genuinely modest and friendly off the pitch
not just his strength but is step, too.
Eastmond v Sonny Bill should be, ahem, interesting tomorrow.
But yeah, with his defence still under question, that's not exactly gonna take t pressure off.
Barritt will be stood there in defence (I hope).
Without the added mobility of Launchbury in the tight 5 it's our back row's lack of speed I'm more concerned about.
21-21! Could do with fewer errors in the second, mind.
Exciting finish to the England v NZ match, though.
Good neutral coverage of the NZ matches? Watching it on TV here the NZ commentators are so biased it isn't funny. How's the UK coverage? Or are the Irish or Aussies showing it with their commentators?
Sky was shit (Miles Harrison)
BBC was better (Brian Moore)
Will see if I can find a stream of the BBC for the other games
Scotland and Ireland looked really good
must say Argentina were awful though. And they still managed to score thirty points. HMM.
Ben Smith should be fullback and Jane on the wing (if fit)
but someone on another site has timed how long it took May to go from halfway to the try line. 6 Seconds. Even if Smith had been at fullback, he'd have been pushed to react and get to May.
looks like burgess could get some time for bath tomorrow.. exciting!
also.. in the photo.. is that ex RL player mike ford?
his son, George, is starting for England on Saturday.
good stuff.. he was a Cas legend.
looking forward to watching that tomorrow.
I imagine he'll look out of place for 99% of the time, then do something fucking ace for 1%...
I'm so cross with rugby at the moment
