thursday on bbc3
By Radio 1 (djs I presume?)? No thanks.
with artists such as Bring Me The Horizon, Bastille, Eric Prydz, some others...
Films not even that good anyway.
by the Outhere Brothers
Benny Hill theme tune
I'd like to see Pride And Prejudiced scored by Skrillex and Requiem For A Dream scored by I'm From Barcelona (ISM)
or Flea to redo the Jaws soundtrack
As opposed to some jumped up prick slapping a Spotify playlist on top.
kept shitting myself whenever they kicked in between the dialogue when watching it live, the volume difference was notable.
if there was one film in the world where a re-scoring with contemporary pop-ish music is so redundant, it's drive
DANIEL PLAINVIEW: I'm finished
I'm all about that bass, about that bass, no treble
but each character sings a line of Gangnam Style
Scouting For Girls re-scoring Begotten
dunno why this annoys me so much, not even a big fan of the film, just the sheer stupidity of it
ZANE LOWE!111! *shakes fist*
and whistled along not even through a microphone to an otherwise muted screening of entire Hobbit / Lord of the Rings sexogy, having already locked all the doors and ordered armed venue staff to kill on sight anybody who makes any sound whatsoever
It's even shitter than I imagined.
The opening wasn't too bad, the carpark scene and the ending were pretty good. However a lot of the vocal music was just far too loud, like the lift bit. The dubstep car chase was just full-on Fast and the Furious - terrible, and I quite like FATF!
The incidental stuff was pretty nice but the whole vibe didn't really work.
Also, they seemed to really try to force the relationship between the leads, it was much more pronounced than in the original where the Driver is a lot more chill/cool about the whole thing.
5/10 for me.
and now i know :)
this is better than the original guys, good on Zane Lowe for bringing that film into the twentieth century
This for me didn't work and the film lost a lot of tension because of it.
Interesting idea right enough but a classic example of how a soundtrack can make or break a film.
Bar the Chvrches song.
By Nick Grimshaw
DMX - Party Up
Brief snippet of chorus line to Robyn's Dancing on my Own
Then went to bed once Christina Hendricks gets her face blown off.
I don't think they could've picked a worse film to rescore, the soundtrack sets the tone for the whole film. It just felt wrong.
