Real dearth at the moment, isn't it not?
Louie is still going but that is the only one I can think of at the moment. I mean the top notch stuff. You understand?
Prove me wrong, I dare you!

starting Transparent this week, meant to be amazing
Though not strictly comedy? Will report back
Bojack Horseman
Adventure Time
Comedy Bang Bang
Parks & Recreation
All great.
community and parks and rec will be back in a few months
Started to tire of Parks and it hasn't been on for quite some time now.
Adventure Time isn't what I am talking about at all although I don't mind watching it for a few minutes here and there.
Bojack Horseman is too alcxxk for my tastes.
Comedy Bang Bang, no idea what that is but sounds like gonads to me.
Oh right, so we're supposed to be only naming
comedy shows you're talking about. Can you confirm what that means, for reference?
No you can not
Understood
but can you?
And Community is crap now, come on!
last series of parks
also Veep, you cunts
I agree with all Balonz's comments in the Veep thread
ppsshh, Balonz sympathiser
Yeah fair enough
Related: watched season 1 of Bored to Death again this weekend. Great stuff.
rewatched all of btd last month
pretty much my perfect show
Yeah, gutted when this got cancelled :(
Didn't think season 3 was much cop at the time
Looking forward to giving it another try.
Coming back soon
Broad City
Review
Nathan For You
All great.
I saw the first couple of Broad City
... was ok.
Not seen/heard of the others.
Nathan For You is top notch
birthday boys season 2 just started last week
first episode was great. most of season 1 was great too
very alcxxk tho tbf
No good then, I'm afraid
did any of you guys see F.R.I.E.N.D.S yet?
Pretty good. One of the men likes dinosaurs, one likes being sarcastic, one likes meatball subs. As for the women, well! Lets just say one is KOOKY, one likes cleaning and one likes fashion!!!!
why doesn't Ross the largest friend eat the others
been watching it a lot recently yeah
Prefer Frasier but Friends is good too.
Fraiser! Those Crane brothers, hey?
Getting themselves into all sorts of hi-jinks, with their middle class premium problems.
Kelsey gramophone seamlessly transitions his classic Cheers character into an ALL NEW situation.
Check it out guys and gals! It really is the thinking man's* comedy.
*or woman's
enjoying your work today
MARIS!!!!!!
Almost as good as when Hyacinth Bucket shouts RICHARD!!!!
Classic comedy. Fork candles
Last Week Tonight
Really like it
but I end up getting really angry at stuff which I just wasn't aware of. Not sure how healthy that is in the long run. The special visa thing for afghan translators who assisted US forces is just a scandal.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is great.
Proper ensemble comedy where every character can make you laugh, Gina the PA is the best comedy creation of recent years, Captain Holt is brilliant, and Terry Crewes is in it.
This is wrong
it's totally adequate
also, @midnight is good if it's an episode with people you like on it. pretty bad if not tho
It may be but this thread is about top notch stuff
Yeah, I like Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Modern Family you twats
The sad thing is you're not joking here
?
also The Meltdown With Jonah and Kumail
was generally of a very high standard and had lots of my favourite comedians. not completely consistent, but if you like american "alternative" stand ups then it's pretty unmissable
hijacking this shit
To say that there is not a single good UK comedy out st the moment. Go on, name one....
Detectorists isn't massively LAUGH OUR LOUD funny
but more heart warming makes you smile sort of thing. It's lovely.

house of fools!
The Sunny was good last week. From the creators of Burnistoun. Still on the iplayer
Big Bang Theory
IS BACK!!!!!!!
Not alcxxk enough.
It's a balancing act for sure.
When people say things like
"Oh, you need to watch at least 8 episodes before it gets funny/good"
Fuck off, mate.
Yeah
God forbid a TV show take a few episodes to really get going.
that's fine, but it should still be funny and entertaining as it "gets going".
it's definitely "a thing"
eg bojack horseman needed a few episodes to establish what it was before then developing the characters into a real story, parks and rec needed almost a whole season to get fans by being a blatant rip off of The Office before doing it's own thing
A-dvlopment as well
First season of Silicon Valley was really promising
Modern Family continues to be consistently great (if slightly mawkish), Parks and Rec is back soon, Community will hopefully get back to its wonderful best next series and I for one have been really enjoying the Mindy Project on the few occasions I've seen it.
There's loads.
TOP NOTCH Daniel!
Silicon Valley was ok from the bits I have seen. P&R and Community on the massive wane and Modern Family... no.
Modern Family yes.
Think people tend to disregard it as they think it's too broad and not 'edgy' enough, but it's supremely written, very well acted and consistently hilarious.
Agree with Community and Parks and Rec to an extent, but I'm not writing them off just yet.
Maybe that's the inevitable fate of all comedy series though. Should set a Logan's Run style cut off point of 50 episodes or something.
what does everyone think of New Girl?
I think mostly not very funny but not unenjoyabke with ocassional greatness
sean can we get a feature where we can ban individuals from certain threads?
well SOMEBODY IS a mister grumpy grumbles today.
LaszloPantstwist
s1 and 2 were great
best comedy on at the time. 3 and 4 have seen a dip in quality.
schmidt is good
been watching quite a bit of Comedy Bang Bang recently
it's pretty wacky
recently have been watching bojack horseman
just starting to like it (5 episodes in)
bob's burgers is back on the 5th (?)
they should make another series of stella (us) next year for the 10th anniversary
the 2nd - as in next sunday
according to this which is good https://trakt.tv/
