A bit weird because they're opening one in East Dulwich soon which isn't far from the Brixton one; why not transfer the staff being made redundant to the new place?
Turns out they actually do programming for lots of other cinemas as well that people don't know about. She seemed like a well nice person though and good at her job and that's about everything I know about Picturehouse
Still being bad guys
what's going on
it's time to renew my membership but now idk
just googled myself
redundancies for 25% of ritzy staff
good excuse not to renew
mx3 said in the other thread that the tyneside charge £4.50 for milk and cookies
dunno what their pays like though
How so?
My housemate works for them.
I get free tickets.
#won'thaveabadwordsaidaboutthem
hope your housemate didnt protest for the living wage cause they might not have a job anymore
I'll ask him.
Didn't know there was any controversy.
Hmmm.

The Ritzy is the only unionised Picturehouse cinema
and have agreed a deal which staggers wage increases towards the London Living Wage.
East Dulwich (and the other cinemas) don't have this agreement. So I assume that any staff that are moved would have to take a paycut.
Recently met one of the women who do their programming

I'm sure the Ritzy makes loads of money
what a bunch of dicks
