Chelsea are going to murder us, it's going to be a LITERAL bloodbath.
Just like a home match!*
last time I checked (which) Ronaldo has only scored 15 goals in 7 games.
Given the last few years it's definitely a case of 'Still, such a pleasure to be here, thanks.'
Two chances after individual mistakes was all they had and they put both in. Fair play though both cracking finishes.
Could quite easily concede 6 or 7 against chelsea and city or win both.
At least it's not boring like last season
Great to see midfielders amongst the goals this season though. Blind's finish was lovely
Think Mata might be moved on in January actually
Feels like we've had years of QPR fans claiming him as the greatest striker of all time.
Not as good as Woodward getting caught on camera saying "fucking waste of money"
could be almost anyone!
did you see the west brom twitter #bants? #fellaini
god he's good
If only he could find out who was responsible for transfers.
as soon as he gets his broadband set up.
"oh fucking hell, what's the point" there.
Can't work out if that's more or less funny.
Which is fair enough.
Manu's points total at this stage of the season is only 1 more than last season. If I'm also correct, Manu had quite a tough fixture list to open last season given how much moyeseylad was moaning about it, while this season's was a relative cakewalk*. And, if I'm further correct in my assumptions, LVG has spent close to one billion pounds in the transfer window to get this single-point advantage? I don't actually know where I'm going with this, someone take over
*what even is one of these?
And I for one agree with you
the other was taking over a team in turmoil in 7th place.
You can actually see what LvG is trying to do, it's risky as fuck though. If it clicks properly we will look great but always concede some goals.
- I shall throw on Fellaini
- need another goal. Hmmm, I shall throw Young on
- GET THOSE CROSSES IN, KLOOTZAK
Might be the worst substitution in the history of football (from 93 onwards)
DISCLAIMER: This is only on paper, Di Maria was injured so it was a necessary evil, I'm just talking about how it looks written down (on paper)
Alan Smith getting subbed on for Gary Lineker in his last ever game for England tops the tree there.
Can't help with the rest of the post, soz
so it looks a load better.
Could wikipedia it to find out, but I looked it up a while back and so now feels like cheating to do so again
that I bloody love watching United this season...not sure they beleive me. It's a bit concerning that we've only got 12pts after playing 6 of the bottom 8 and we're defensively poor but I maintain that it's much, much better then some of the aimless stuff of the last couple of seasons. CM's are even scoring goals.
I hope I still feel the same after Chelsea hammer United.
Compare that to the last couple of years of Fergie and last seasons disaster it's amazing. Not even arsed about us losing at the minute.
Think we might get something against Chelsea actually but that high line against Aguero the week after is already giving me nightmares.
nailed on hat-trick against you.
van Persie winning the league for you :(
and I'll fight you for suggesting otherwise
Someone who threatens to leave the club on a bi-weekly basis, a former rapist and erm can't think of anything bad to say about Falcao but you get the point.
van Persie has looked so off the pace this season it's ridiculous
When he scored, did he always look a little bit wistful and sad?
He never scored until he went to Arsenal and Wenger unlocked his potential
squad being refreshed, some of the dead wood being turfed and mananger coming in that has some semblence of a clue. There is a genuine enthusiasm and it bodes well.
Looking forward to the run of games coming up. LVG needs to give Van Persie a rest. Would like to see Falcao up on his own vs Chelsea.
for taking all their players, when really it's only Bradley Johnson left, who they can have back if they like, he was so utterly shit on Saturday even for him
Though I do seem to remember hearing he was in good form this season?
Taking two of our captains - one young and homegrown) and the championship striker of the season (at that point, and giving us Steve fucking Morison in return) still hurts a lot, especially as you never played him even in a relegation season ffs.
What's happening with Howson? I remember Hughton calling him Norwich's Iniesta but he doesn't seem to be getting much game time anymore. You ruined him : (
hopefully anyway, I think I love him (remember this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gex0UJmA8bM)
but he's been injured for the start of the season and due to Adams bringing in about 1000 players in the summer he's had to try give everyone the same game time or something
god I miss us being in the prem :(
And while it was one of the best games I've ever been to I'm not entirely sure I agree about missing the premier league, given last year
Becchio was pointless as I'm not even sure he could have saved us anyway but the fact he wasn't even given a chance is pretty shitty.
As yer man says Howson has been injured so far this season but he's back now and I'd much rather him playing than Johnson who I'll admit had been better before Saturday where he was shocking.
Anyway we've now lost the only boy we both truly loved so can't we just get on now?
The explanation we've all been waiting for as to why all Man City fans hate Spurs so much (like all right-thinking human beings): http://drownedinsound.com/community/boards/social/4455184#r8330772
Barnet v Braintree
First time I've been to Barnet in about 3 years. I don't even know how to get there #no1fan
Probably the most worrying thing about the LvG era so far considering how much I was just assuming he'd be back to his best under a manager he wouldn't be a strop about.
The fact that we flogged Welbz exacerbates it massively, if we don't get Falcao permanently, RvP doesn't recapture his form and Rooney continues to be a shitcunt we're basically not going to have any strikers next year having had way too many recently.
but he's never been a 'work-rate' striker, and a lot of his goals are conjured up from nothing (or at the very least, excellently converted half-chances). It can make him look totally peripheral if he doesn't score, but I've seen plenty of games where he's looked totally peripheral and then digs out a goal from nowhere and you're like hooray Van Persie and then he LEAVES YOU.
what a season
before the Man u game last night? I don't have Sky so obviously I missed it, but I imagine them using words like, "crime", "incomprehensible" and "scandal" when talking about a football match were quite amusing.
Also, anyone hear about this:
I've just seen that Manchester United's next four games are.
Man City away
Crystal Palace home
As a Palace fan I've already got my ticket for our game, I just hope that Man Utd, don't take it out too much on us.
Always a pleasure watching that happy-go-lucky smarm slowly crack and fall away as the season goes on.
he shits long balls and pisses wind.
that 'Arry didn't really see enough of training to know:
"He spends most of the time in his office but when he gets off the phone he comes down to watch for five or ten minutes"
by putting the ball on his shoulder/collar bone, holding it on there by tilting his head and just running down the pitch
be hard to tackle that
for ask the ref. It may have already been done though. Obstruction or unsportsmanlike behaviour or some other cop-out.
celtic's reserve goalkeeper got attacked the other night, apparently by 2 other scottish premier league players - http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/celtic-goalkeeper-lukasz-zaluska-knocked-4472108
what the fuck?
fucking brutal either way as it appears to have been totally unprovoked, shitebags
and I'll tell you if it's the same as I heard.
of a premier league keeper getting his beats from 2 other league players would be enough to overcome the scottish thing and make you click but still nah
are away to east fife tongiht. wouldn't mind watching it, I think it'll be a scrappy wee game with lots of fiesty (and shite) play on each side. it's only on rangers tv though.
even if i wasn't, i'd still not be watching the rangers game.
all of them would be clones of chris samba and they'd all be on £150k a week (with 10% going to some dog's savings account somewhere)
he'd probably buy Kaboul too.
very not surprised to find out he's been on that show.
most of the time when he's done articles on actual teams and how they might play/did play in a game he's rubbish. Can only do those columns where he's pretty much just like TACTICS and yeah.
I've not read inverting the pyramid
there are tons of journalists who do tactical analysis of games a lot better than him.
Original tweet on offical account "Fellaini has now taken his tracksuit off, fortunately he has a Man Utd strip on underneath."
After criticism, unconvincingly try to deny it was banter
"In response to incorrect and mischievous reporting, we would like to clarify that our initial tweet about Marouane Fellaini was made as the player removed his tracksuit top. That was in preparation for his introduction to the game during a period when night-time temperatures were dropping significantly. We are extremely disappointed that our tweet was taken out of context by mischief-makers."
or is there actually a crowd in there somewhere
and other stadium banter
“It was Tottenham at home. I thought please don’t go on about Tottenham, we all know what Tottenham is about, they are nice and tidy but we’ll fucking do them. He came in and said: ‘Lads, it’s Tottenham’, and that was it. Brilliant.”
D) ROY KEANE
Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.
i.e. they'll make up eventually and form some sort of NWO, right?
Watch Greeny bottle the decision not to sub him now, despite how wretched he's been for weeks.
that would be super
i reckon the money must be decent and it's not like anyone seems to want you to be any good or anything
+ Howson back in for bants
- Kyle Lafferty
he was great on Saturday
every time i've seen him he's looked utter gubbins
...but it's pretty funny how shit City are in Europe.
Shame about your £50.
"Yaya, get yourself up the pitch. He's been laboured tonight. I blame him for the penalty - after the referee of course, because I'm certain it wasn't one. Can he make up for it?"
Natcho's having his couch-y!
Thank you. Good night. You've been a lovely audience.
Annoying on every level
Odd seeing fabregas play for Chelsea. I know he's been there for a bit now but it's the first time I've watched chelsea play this season
Domzale and O. Ljubljana obvs
some pretty one sided rubbish this ECL these days. Bring on the knockouts.
smash CSKA at home, stick eleven behind the ball and bribe the ref v Bayern, dick Roma in Rome. Sorted.
