I noticed yesterday that the mumsnet sticky thread has been unstickied

foppyish [Edit] [Delete] 10 replies 14:54, 15 October '14

which was a bit overdue. The moderators one is about 10 times more overdue being unstickied than that.

I've got a deal for you.

Bring back the blue button and last post functionality and we will allow you to get rid of all sticky threads.

    You in, my man?

    • if only we could afford to fix it

a developer spent 3hrs (about £120 of time) looking at this bug and couldn't figure out why it had stopped working after a tweak to the cache. It's the same issue that delays the this' appearing and various other things.

      • are there no Dis developers

(amateurs even) who could take a look for you gratis (or are you scared they'll break everything?) can't you do a beta type thing (I don't know what I'm talking about I have two software dev clients and I think I am basically just Java now, which honestly, I had always thought was a type of coffee.)
If you want to make a living out of this, you need to work out a business plan for how you're going to leverage some £ form it (adverts are not the only way) and then crowdfund some investment.

        • I know coding but I'm rubbish

spend all my time dicking around on a broken music website. that would be £120 straight down the drain. Especially since I use adblock so you wouldn't even make any money back that way.

        • my job is coding

but can you imagine the grief you'd get over everything that goes wrong even if you only worked on one thing.
