and was looking for it last night (after having forgotten about it), then I remembered that I had left it in my bag and the paper it was in has torn and there are all bits of fluff and stuff on it. It looks awful.
How about dabbing it with a fistful of sellotape?

Quick scrub. Out on the drainer for 15 minutes. Then wrapped it in some grease proof paper and put it the cupboard to forget about.

Our drainer is pristine. It's where we dry our cutlery, crockery and glassware.
I had no intention of eating it at the fair. I'm going to have it soon just to spite you.
