Well, would you?
We have annualised hours at work so feasibly this is something I *could* do.
Its pretty boss.
In a heartbeat
Presumably not, so no.
+ three day weekend
+ if I could work two of these days at home, it'd be a maybe
- would mean that I don't see my children for four days a week (practically this would be 8-6.30, which would mean leaving the house before they get up and arriving home after they go to sleep)
- I have evening commitments that it'd bugger up.
- I'd be ruined by day 4, I reckon.
Annualised hours appeals, but then I have flexitime anyway, which is good enough for me (alright, Dodgy).
would it - it would be staggered so you might end up having Tuesday - Thursday which is going to mean you have time off while all your family / friends are working and vice versa
Except it was emergency time during flooding so was doing it 5/6 days a week and they wouldn't ok ANY annual leave at all. Justified that by saying we got loads of days off (whihc we actually didn't in reality). But yeah, 4 10 hour days would be sweet
to get every second friday off, so yes.
Then I had a near-breakdown and thought 'fuck this shit, I'm not putting up with this any longer'. (Appreciate that this is easier said than done in some industries)
Not something they'd ever implement here (they want you in the office to respond to clients etc) but I'd be well up for that.
I work 5 10+ days on average so it would be especially welcome
but 3 day weeks with optional overtime, I liked it a lot.
no thanks pal
So for example this week I'm not in till Wednesday night and just for two hours to see this new menu and then Friday and I'm bored of typing this already so I'll stop
Picking my day off would be good also, it would really help with childcare too.
friend of mine is a nurse and works something mad like 3 x 14 hour shifts a week
then have the rest of the week off?
in my case it'd presumably be 9 hour days. i probably could do if i'd started work doing 9 hour days, but i'm conditioned to seven-and-a-bit-maybe-as-much-as-gasp-eight. maybe a nine day fortnight. or 19 day 4-week run
