My brain has taken me somewhere while I answer this question to a place I don't want to go.
oh no D:
i work with a lot of support officers, and as part of their work, often they'll be supporting people who've barely had a conversation with anyone in years and years and years, been couped up at home with all sorts of issues
real lump in your throat stuff where you realise someone hasn't talked to anyone about anything in like 10 years. can't even imagine what that'd be like
news websites are from people in this situation, and it's the closest approximation to interaction and they haven't really spoken to anyone else so they don't have so much idea how to say what, if you get what i mean. and here we are (and i'm as guilty as the next person) laughing at daily mail commenters. when maybe part of it's that lack of support idk
no one knows, no one's met him.
