Slag it off here
just dont know why theyre doing it
looking forward to Are You Being Served starring Roger Moore
with bill nighy and michael gambon in it will do well at the box office in the UK, and with the weird anglophiles in the US.
which made a bundle in the UK, so they're probably going for that market again.
he is one person that definitely should be in a remake of Are You Being Served
New Dads' Army Film: Do You Think That's Wise?
Will make my Gran very happy
but Nighy as Wilson is the worst casting decision ever. Wilson is the most important character in the whole dynamic and Nighy is completely wrong for it.
I really can't stand Bill Nighy - seems to play a smug prick in literally every role. Wilson wasn't smug, he was world-beaten and wry.
The rest of the cast looks good but yeah, my dad's livid about the decision to re-make it (he gets angry pretty easily tbf) but if he's against it, I'm against it (it's one of his favourite programmes).
one of the few times he isn't that sort of character
The people who'd go see this aren't exactly top of the cinema going public.
I didn't mind this show but seriously, it's like making a last of the summer wine show.
The Mamma Mia/Exotic Marigold Hotel market or the family film market that sees films like Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger making a decent amount.
'Dude, Where's My Donkey?'
And they'll reference that shit Pike joke about 20 times in it.
inspired choice ... and so totally wrong.
'Nativity 3: Dude Where's My Donkey?' ?
After all, why have a question mark when you can stick an exclamation mark in there too?
'Dad's Army - World At Bloomin' War....Again!', is set in an alternative universe when Hitler 'got it up us' instead of 'up 'im' and sees our home guard (Dad's Army) as the last remaining resistance to Heir Hitler's savage ground troops. #mainwaring'
and she just sent me it so guessing it is true, and she has barely lied to me once for almost 3 decades.
Although it's quite a coup to reportedly have Bruno Ganz returning as Hitler.
Its that one, right?
with other wartime BBC series being adapted leading up to the big crossover movie in 2018.
From IMDB (I kid you not)
Goodnight Sweetheart : The Movie - 2015
Allo Allo : The Movie - 2016
It Aint Half Hot Mum : The Movie - 2017
Pretty exciting no?
I hope there's a cut scene at the end of Dad's Army film where an old man walks slowly towards the camera, lifts his glasses and exclaims... "It is I, LeClerc!"
Imagine if Captain Mainwaring et al found the goodnight sweetheart portal to take him to modern day London! That would be amazing.
methods that caused the recession, the movie would end with a flashback and it was him using those methods that caused the Great Depression in the 30s as well...would then show him smirking and the film would end. Part 2 he is the bad guy and Officer Crabtree is after him or something
No it wasn't. Allo Allo was made much later, and therefore more in line with your zeitgeist.......at the time of release dads army was much better comparitivly than allo allo......having said that, despite allo allo's puerility, I love it....nothing will ever match crabtree saying
"the german farters have shat down a british bummer"
(I am correc,t as you said 'WAS better' which means we must go back in time.......if you had said 'IS better' then you are allowed to make your modern sensibilities comparison)
it's actually quite good
Highpoint was a naked bum. In fact that's all they've said about it
