Pissing down in Brum
Took fucking ages to get to work again. Went via Putney this time. Even worse idea than normal.
I visited four Wetherspoons this weekend.
Four day week this week (Wednesday off, birthday YES). I also have to work late on Thursday but I get Friday afternoon off in lieu. BOOM.
Got there at about 6.10pm and the queue was already out the door, they started giving out tickets at half past and after 3 minutes they'd all gone :(
Do I need to do the AQOS run-down?
I'll be leaving work at 2pm (or whenever AQOS ends) so plenty of time!
*tbc by my boss*
* if tb is not c prepare for a week full of shitty resentful sulkposting
Well done fidel!
frank's is alright but isn't as good for mexican food imo
it's different to cho', but tbh for that sort of job I almost prefer tabasco tbqh.
(let me make it up to you with this, it is so very beautiful and you can use scotch bonnets easily in place of habaneros)
Too much wind.
Late late late.
fucking monday, i swear to god
it was absolutely torrential from Friday evening to Saturday afternoon though. i went to sleep listening to it and then woke up listening to it.
just off to university for the day. gotta go do some reading about housing market failure for a class this afternoon.
fucking website logged me out, lost my reply, can't be bothered to re type it.
Yeah, wet Morning in Essex too. Have actually quite enjoyed the drop in temperature as we got a proper summer so the funky smell of the heating going on again was almost comforting this weekend.
A rough period of anxiety is shifting which feels nice. Also attempted some amateur electrician duty by installing a light fitting on Saturday and didn't die. Rewarded myself by building a really gross sounding synth on my computer afterward.
In other news I am a Godparent - the photo's show that I am probably more excited about this than the poor chap who I'm pseudo-responsible for...kids are pretty exhausting eh?
5:2 diet starts today. Quite intrigued by how it'll feel to not eat all the food for once so not dreading eating, like, a crumb for the day. Other than that, super standard start to the week.
Monday, I know I tell you to fuck off a lot, but yr not so bad.
come from either a surprisingly long time spent on the toilet or some bastard having a shower at night, then a shower in the morning.
Going to Bristol on Friday. Travelling after work on Friday is not cheap at all, is it?
It's the toilet thing. And yet I've never admitted to it if asked why I'm late.
and I'm wearing my raincoat because I can't take it off because i'm not appropriately dressed for work underneath. If I can just get through my meeting and get the train home to change then all will be oK. I've had a nice coffee.
:It is quite blowy in the capital of Scotland.
just not suitable for work (leotard and mini kilt). I managed to get the train back to glasgow and change into my suit before my 12 o clock meeting. allll reeeeet.
so will get to abandoning this dump and just bothering in the footy threads.
Walked out of the flat half asleep and got a few hundred yards down the street before I realised I'd forgotten to put on a coat. Decided to just carry on. Poor decision.
Fuck you Monday.
someone i'm friends with is
Could use another holiday, I reckon. It hasn't even been a month since the last one.
I fell off my bit a bit yesterday. Again. Got my foot caught in the stupid fucking strap on those stupid fucking plastic pedals and fell over sideways. Twisted my knee and ankle a bit #prayforepimer. On the plus side it spurred me into ordering new pedals.
Got so much work to do that the stacks of files in my office are making me claustrophobic, so I'm going to stay off here this morning and power through.
I reckon I'll last an hour, tops.
What have I missed?
Lovely little weekend. Pizza and wine and sleeping and coffee and pub and sausage rolls.
Tonight - 2 room viewings. Can't wait to get out of my current flat. I'm so lonely :(
dying of freshers' flu arghhh
Was woken up at 6am this morning by it coming on. Now enjoying nice moderate temperatures in a vest top, so yay. Would still like it if the central heating fuckers around me spontaneously vanished though. It's OCTOBER, ffs.
I now have two days to come up with a dissertation idea. This is not going to end well.
(which kind of sucks because I actually have work to do- always thought working from home was for people to do nothing with their day...)
Had a great weekend- Bought last minute tickets to Goat on Friday and Charles III on Saturday, went Whiskey tasting and had a long walk in Kent. Fell asleep at 9.30 last night as a result.
at work. When we went to look at it, it didn't have a head and had a pool of blood coming from its neck. Investigation pending.
Had a great weekend, was at a wedding on sat which was brilliant fun.
My whole body is aching today from the ceilidh dancing.
Yesterday pretty much the whole wedding party met up for lunch which very quickly turned into quite a heavy drinking session.
I'm fucking shattered today, somebody hold me!
Are you actually Hugh Grant?
think that's all the weddings for the year now.
think i need a few chilled weekends in order to get the bank balance looking healthier for festive party season
had a lovely weekend up on the banks of Loch Ness though, highlight was meeting these dudes:
Found a new one on Saturday that I want but figured I'd buy it online. Sold out EVERYWHERE online. Panicking that it won't still be in the shop today. Maybe the tension will make the day go quicker.
They've put the jacket aside for me bd
possibly, seems so from the brightness coming through my blinds
got a back ache from pickaxing weeds yesterday and blister hands. i look good with a sweat on though. glowing x
suns gone :'''''''(
Woke up in a proper panic as I had a half-dream that the shower was left on, but the shower was in the room so it was slowly filling with water. It was that loud.
This morning was fucking appalling, cold and driving rain. I left just before 7 but some of those who start work at 9:30 look really unhappy indeed.
that and not sleeping thinking about my presentation this week (which I still need to do.) In Barcelona working from Thursday (getting up at 3am :-| ) until late Sunday, so my next day off is Monday. :(
Weekend was alright though - Surprise birthday party on Friday, and then bought a nice new suit Saturday. Lovely.
One hand does each door and their arms spread out with the momentum of the doors opening - lol
The bus station has really slow automatic doors, if no one is on the other side I just bust them open with both hands. Makes an amazing clunk and I feel all badass for breaking the rules or something.
EXCESSIVE. But marvelous.
Have also fallen in like.
Or 'fallen in like'?
Please note LIKE.
(but yeah obvs I'll message you later)
Being in 'like' is what I used to say when someone made me laugh a few times before giving me an orgasm. Am I the only one?
(and yes I will message you, too- mainly to moan about other things, though.)
Like is all you need
I like you
Got my millets mum coat out this morning, totally rain and autumn ready
I don't know why. For the first time in ages I don't have anything in particular to worry about (as far as I know).
I just dread seminars.
gonna out and run about in it in a couple of hours bd
bought some new glasses at the weekend - the expense made me wince a bit, but i've needed / wanted new ones for about two years and they should last for ages so that's ok really.
went out twice over the weekend whcih was slightly challenging on my no drinking experiment, decided to drive to eliminate any stupid questions from people / temptation. was actually alright - kindof got a little bit swept up in other peoples drunkness, osmosis like
lime and soda is a nice drink yeah? might start having it all the time
thsi isn't him, but he looked a lot liek this
my life's a crazy whirlwind of excitmnet at the moment
not so keen now - not keen at all
The impermeableness of wet weather running gear means you can leave the bin bag at home.
not so keen on this 'heavy rain'
probably should have just stayed home tbh, good weekend though celebrated two birthdays in two different towns/cities on Saturday and watched some UFC action on Sunday, I'm starting to like the idea of Rory getting the next title shot after Lawler.
cue text from housemate all pissed off, he only works about 2 minutes away bleh
and my band's new EP is now on Spotify: https://play.spotify.com/album/2Gzhdbn0z4sH4JiuqvBAuc?play=true&utm_source=open.spotify.com&utm_medium=open
high five for October birthday!!!
Went out Friday night with a mate for beers. Nice and non-eventful.
Saturday had a huge chllie and cheese hot dog at this street food thing I went to. Then headed to watch the delight of Cov v Crawley. Saturday night stayed in with a few beers while Mrs C_B went out. Yesterday watched football on the telly. Successfully fixed the window that wouldn't close, the oven that wouldn't heat and the shower that would leak. Did a 6 mile run. Too much being in the house though and the Monday dread made me feel a bit down.
i've worked why my hips and thighs are in constant pain though - i pull my legs up into a triangle in my sleep.
i'll get better though
Friends over both Sat and Sun. Sat went to a weird noisy gig and realised I am far too old for this shit. Sat at the back with a G&T looking like someone's Mum waiting to collect them after the show.
Two of them were CARD ONLY, which I refuse to do when buying a 50p chocolate bar. Paid with a £1 coin; got 9x5p, 2x2p and 1x1p change.
If I walk at pace I sound like a walking tambourine.
This isn't a badge of honour - I fucking hate it!
think i might go see avi buffalo later
I like that venue. I would like to have gone but I'm not in glasgow tonight.
not a fan on monday night gigs right enough, especially after such a heavy weekend
