i'm really into kohlrabi its probably the nicest vegetable i've ever had
So not a fan of popcorn right now.
when you're homeless
It was at a pick your own. You could drive round this one to all the different sections, pay at the weighing booths. Then when you left a student looks at your receipts and then searches your car!
Do you stop at lay-bys to buy their shit strawberries?
had it on pizza last night, gonna have it in a sandwich for lunch
it's rate good
especially covered in garlic oil and cooked with pancetta and onion.
chuck 'em in everything. #umami
I bought a whisky and orange one last week that I ate in about 5 minutes flat. I also ate a lot of morbier at teh weekend and truffle pecorino. Morbier is an interesting one- thye cheese is made up of two layers of milk, the mornigng milk from the cow, then a layer of ash and then the evening milk. It is lovely.
Mushrooms and courgettes too. fuck.
can't be that expensive? basically all the veg I get comes from this wee shop that must be a front for organised crime or sth, it's so cheap. I have no idea what real world prices are like any more.
harissa paste in mayo is also pretty huge. adding that to a lot of things.
had some roast pumpkin from ol' mama catstro's allotment yesterday, that was p banging. all this daft pumpkin spice nonsense detracts from the actual thing, which is great.
with honey and nuts for breakfast, whipped with sriracha and a bit of water to make sauce for fish tacos, under a micro curry for cba dinner, just smeared on everything. love.
Moved house over the weekend and every single visitor arrived with a freshly baked cake. I've been having cake morning, noon, and night. Out of obligation as much as anything else.
It'd be rude not to.
Health kick has taken a bit of a, er, kicking.
I have started having a megabreakfast of toast, orange juice, and a huge bowl of muesli covered in yoghurt and honey which has done a grand job in reducing snacking at work though...
My diet's appalling at the moment.
bish bash bosh
Today I have an Innocent noodle pot. I don't feel satisfied with this.
At least it's not fucking quiche today.
And this thread needed a little something.
£3.10, ilu work canteen xx
one of them is a big mason-ish jar of assorted seeds.
obvs I just lob as many spoonfuls as I can get away with next to whatever I've got on my plate. mmm seeds. pumpkin and smaller, I think.
and samphire (not together)
been enjoying a nice dark chocolate truffle once every day after lunch.
"tatata" to each other since then
jelly belly jelly beans
anything made with far too much cumin
and today's but I eat too much yesterday leaving less for today which was a MISTAKE. Might just go out and buy some more.
Also, it's pretty cold in here and I didn't bother bringing a cardigan or anything. BOOOOOOOOOO.
filling, simple, low calorie, fast and easy
i'm sure there's a massive downside to them but la la la la can't hear you
I'm getting more into olives with the stone in lately 'cause I can spit them out like some sorta mediterranean outlaw.
And I'm still working my way through last years preserve gifts, so at the moment 'Christmas Spiced Fruit' chutney (product Made In Scotland :/)
crunchy, spicey, just lovely. It tastes to me like that Sriracha Thai chilli sauce stuff plus the white bit of pak choi (although it is chinese leaf I believe), great as a side with basically everything. Fucking stinks though.
Miso. I used to get the sachets of it ready made to have at lunch instead of a crappy cup-a-soup but it was a few quid for only about 4 packets. I bought a big pouch of actual miso paste from an Oriental shop when I was buying my Kimchi (above) for the same price. It doesn't include stuff like the seaweed, but makes a lovely cuppa, or stock, or anything.
Side dishes when getting a curry. Instead of a stodgy meat dish, I get 2-3 sides. Mutter Paneer, sag aloo, daal, that kind of thing. Makes a lovely spread and plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. Some need added chilli, I sort that at home.
every meal is immeasurably improved with this
there's a diner in glasgow that has it decanted into massive big squeezy dispensers like this- http://www.nextdaycatering.co.uk/showproduct.aspx?ProductID=33470&SEName=clear-squeeze-sauce-bottle&gclid=CjwKEAjwqamhBRDeyKKuuYztxwQSJAA1luvGWm4lsqE27PrzyzdABtBvZBATq7PYuJ-OGUdj-8971RoCERXw_wcB
for optimum squirtage.
weak vinegary tomato powder tasting pish
no aggro intended really, just personally not a fan of the cho' and a bit stumped by the love it gets here
but i swear to god, if it aint as good....
the franks sits out along with the salt and pepper at the current catstro residence. it's good, honest.
ordered a bottle
does that count as a food?
not any more.
You will regret those words once you've tried a good one.
so very very good
