Everton seem a bit gash at the moment
Match reports and twitter accounts of last night's drama at Anfield are little comfort. Liverpool took a craft knife to their own scalp, scored all the way around save the final 2 cm, then handed the knife to Boro, who dropped it on the ground.
So, farewell League Cup
We're struggling enough with the other cup games, and we're not going to fucking win the thing. :(
with some help from the referee and despite playing on a plastic pitch.
Celtic are going to lose at celtic park tonight I think, which is fine as I can no longer go.
I am so over this season already. I want the World Cup back. i want summer back. I hate this.
I'm still haunted by sitting at celtic park watching Morton put us out, nearly a year ago to the day. Still not lived it down amongst friends from home. This is still a fractured team with a terrible back line. Normally at 2 up you could go off and sort out your laundry but not so much these days *febreezes shirts and turns pants inside out*
Now I can go and do a washing.
but all the same, kinda think the GK should have stopped it
some good performances from the kinder, although the game itself was pretty crap from both teams. Joel Campbell is fucking rubbish, Podolski has lost all interest. Bellerin and Hayden were really good, and Coquelin had a great game. Oh, and Sanchez's free kick was delicious, shame he blasts them over the bar in proper games.
Arsenal fans are horrible worstcunts of the highest order. The #WengerOut cretin next to me notwithstanding, booing Abou Diaby was a complete disgrace and made me genuinely angry. He had a decent game and was bossing it early on, but to boo him onto the pitch and then again when he got subbed? Realise it was a minority of utter cunts, but still made me ashamed to be a plastic Arsenal fan.
I really hope that guy called him an inured cunt.
Plus an utter gobshite who spent the game shouting abuse at him sat next to me. Hate boos, they always come through even if people are in the minority.
Blackpool, Leicester and now Norwich. The 'too good for Championship, not god enough for prem' Goliaths keep a tumbling. Fulham next would be nice.
Blackpool too good for Championship aye?
there was another Shrewsbury fan lurking around on here with me. Let's give Severed799 some high level banter, Trout_Mask. I'll start; Severed799? More like SeveredCapitalOneCupChances!!
Although if last night’s anything to go by, my 3/10 banter would probably knock your 7/10 banter with a scrappy banter winner.
'They were going on about cheese – Philadelphia'
Why are the police turning up and cuffing a man walking back into a shop with a cheese - Philadelphia in their hand?
I have never returned a Philadelphia.
then succumbed to cheese-philadelphia stealing guilt.
forgets to pay for cheese and by the time he leaves the shop (~45 seconds?) the police car has arrived and handcuffed him.
Now that Felix Magath has shown footballers the future, they'll be grabbing all the cheese they can.
not sure what it'd be called, but if they stuck Tom Hanks in it they'd be bound to win a couple of Oscars.
WHERE IS TIM SHERWOOD
Pretty sure he was saying a couple of days ago that these shores weren't ready for his highly complex Teutonic techniques but whatever, somebody please employ him.
at fulham. would be hapy with neil lennon
out the team's score if it's a big number? That will happen tonight to us at the hands of Chelsea.
Guess that's what having to sort through the #opinions people blurt at the BBC life feed does to you.
and should we care?
He used to do the matchday livefeeds on the BBC website. And you should care because it's currently the most interesting thing in this thread, clearing the low bar set by Steven Caulker not stealing any cheese with aplomb.
He was awful though.
Campbell, Sanogo, Bendtner, all suffered long enough from Wenger's midfield fetishism.
Asamoah Gyan NOT involved in ritualistic human sacrifice.
I made the classic office joke "these juniors are getting younger"
who would like to touch me
"Far from implementing a true financial fair play, this rule is in fact a prohibition to invest that prevents ambitious owners to develop their clubs," said MCFC Supporters' Club in a statement.
"The Uefa rule may be bad news for MCFC supporters, but it is even worse news for supporters of all clubs that do not today belong to the established European elite."
There's no doubt that FFP contravenes EU law and would quickly be proven to do so in a court of law, but the weird thing is for City is might be in their better interests to not challenge it. There's almost certainly more risk of other clubs challenging their current standing in English if any old Qatari or Russian could invest in, say, Everton, Spurs or Newcastle, etc. Take the slap on the wrists, pull the drawbridge up, give Platini and his cronies a pinch, ultimately win.
But surely the City fans realise this as well, considering the fact that FFP is widely recognised as helping maintain the status quo.
(Assuming not trolling) but to assume that a body of fans will ever err on the side of pragmatism is optimistic. Just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean you should do it, but that doesn't fire passions unfortunately.
Looking forward to more from him.
Must've gotten promoted when Torres left the country.
than Bolton have had in their last five games.
I see Barca are playing some no hopers as well. Bundaslega highlights on the ITV player?
Or do I stick with Chris Packhams cheap documentary on apes?
still got RSC on the bench though.
top top player.
Weren't too shabby first half.
Not sure about that red card at all.
getting beat by a championship b side.
Enjoying it now.
Kinda bizarre that most people still don't realise just how good he is.
just dont think he's really ever going to shine when he's the only man up top and has his back to goal.
Having only three strikers in the squad limits their options, but as things stand none of them are particularly well suited to the lone striker role.
