have you ever caught it from something other than a meat/fish dish, if so what, assuming you know?
Thanks in advance.
yes, I've had it from rice before.
i also somehow got it from some melanzanne parmigiana, which si basically aubergines and onions in a tomato sauce topped with parmesan cheese and baked. God knows how I got sick from that.
Been thinking about going veggie as i'm getting ill quite regularly nowadays. Not getting involved with vitamins and all that shite, just going to eat a bit healthier and limit the risky foods. Virtually every time i've been i'll it's been after eating fish or meat, so was thinking if i cut them out completely for a while, see how i get on, etc, etc. Can easily live without rice, but a website i was reading seemed to suggest any food can become contaminated just as easily, idk, i'd have said cross-contamination from, undercooked or reheated meat would've been the biggie.
The body's not really designed to cope with loads and loads of meat anyway. altohugh if you find yourself still getting sick, you should get it checked out. (although having suffered badly form puking all the time, panicking and thnking i'm prgnant or dying, my doctor has basically just told me I have a neurotic hysterical stomach and when I get stressed or upset, it's the first thing to go. sorry brb, got to vom.)
do we look like lads who don't know what a melanzanne parmigiana is?
alright calm down Antonio Carluccio!!
But I may have got it from eggs when in amsterdam.
Even if it wasn't from eggs, the thought of them made me feel ill for at least 6 months after. That was the start of my vegan adventure.
the first and last time he dated a vegan
Vege fried rice
First two in India. Third one my fault. Reheated it the next day but either it wasn't 100% cooked the first day or I didn't reheat it properly.
Once from rice and once from eggs. As those are vegan and vegetarian foods I now exclusively eat meat - it just seemed like the safest thing to do.
but you can't get food poisoning from eggs. upset stomach...sure.
Raw eggs in particular are prone to contamination/ toxins.
Wah I feel sick thinking about this. EDWINA CURRIE.
Seriously though.....those eggs would have to be waaaaay out of date for that shit you mentioned to become a factor.
I regularly eat eggs 6 weeks out of date.
Quite often, actually, but only a few weeks out at the most. And I refrigerate them, unless they're being used for baking. it's as much to do about storing them right too.
From egg fried rice reheated in the microwave. Wouldn't recommend it.
I've only had it once and that was in Morocco.
I have been sick this millennium, booze or otherwise.
I had a 24 hour bug about a year ago which *may* have been food poisoning but I hadn't eaten anything that you'd normally get food poisoning from. That is the only time since being a kid I've been sick (excluding from booze) in my adult life.
bet these are the same people who have flu 3 to 4 times a year
Felt fine during the 2nd half, but felt pretty ropey when i got home and then spent the next 24 hours puking and feeling dreadful.
fucking celtic bastards!! ;)
my answer is no!
Those burgers are the best in the west! Of course, they give a squirt of Special Sauce onto the patty when they see it's one of your lot that's buying ;)
when on holiday. Assuming dirty water or not good enough meat/salad separation in the kitchen.
I suppose in a lot of ways that's one of the more likely ways to get it, given that if meat gets cooked thoroughly it is generally going to be ok.
Was not pleasant.
