I mean apart from the inertia of capitalist reinvention.
Is it eventually going to lead us to some nirvana?
and replace everything else. I still don't get what was wrong with myspace though.
Was it was almost too customisable - alienated the newer internet users who had no clue what they were doing. Facebook being totally uniform as well as having the photo tagging, as well as their being no way that bands etc could come and spam your pages meant that more and more migrated until it was nothing but bands and clothing lines posting about their shit on each other's walls in glittery gifs.
more and better understanding of humans and relations and the mechanisms of hatred, and political 'things'
doesn't necessarily mean there is an inexorable positive re-invention that is rolled out everywhere.
just because something better can be done, does not, in itself, determine that things must change.
also newer does not necessarily mean better
was vista better than 2000? 8 better than 7?
If not too many, human beings? Why do we need more?
yes, there are already too many human beings. I would prefer it if you would indulge and engage with the OP rather than just 'counter' it
It depends on if they offer something different. A lot are driven by people wanting a bite of the cherry, but if it offers something a bit different, works well and is easy to use then more and more people will use it. That's basically all it is. Also - specialising or different communities, as well as it becoming easier and cheaper than ever to have apps and websites made.
But better will only come from the trial and error of more.
If we'd have gone with that level of regressive attitude over the course of history we'd still be in the dark ages.
helps to kick monopolies off balance
Similar to computers are getting more powerful or have new sensors/features etc that enable more complex apps.
As for social networking.. Dunno
