NB: soup is not an option for a starter.
Subquestion: what's the most you could eat without an accompanying drink?
If it's three courses of dry weetabix, then no.
starter: maybe some kind of paté with bread
mains: sea bass with accompanying sauce and seasonal veg
dessert: cheesecake of some description
I'm not a washing up sponge, I'm a human being
I'm always forgetting to get myself a drink. Once I've sat down and started eating, I can rarely be arsed to get up again.
I'm talking three courses, kiddo.
As long as it wasn't just dry crackers, salt and a sponge I'd probably manage.
Main : Salt
Dessert : A sponge
he gets annoyed if I offer to get him one. he gets annoyed at lots of things though.
and found the idea completely weird
Unless it was dinner with you, of course, and then I'd put up with anything.
And not the job application email I reflexively copied before sending after years of losing posts on DiS.
never understood why people drink while eating.
and a 3 course meal is ridiculously extravagant anyway
Starter, palette cleanser, dessert, cheese course, coffee course and port course cherry bakewells are strictly hands only.
Are you buying?
If so I could probably do 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts.
How long after eating can I have a drink?
Even then I sort of just get pissed between courses.
like some disgusting middle ages baron
and then notice at the end that i've barely touched my drink (often happens when i have a pint and then i'm too bloated and full to drink it after)
but if i didn't have one it would be all i would be able to focus on and i would be convinced that i was really really thirsty and might die
