what are you rocking at the moment?
help me out yeah?
fuck you steved
depends on what style/cut you're looking for?
not like a teenagaer would have tho
how long do they last generally?
depends how many lunges per day you usually do
might try soem one
true to fit?
(I actually quite like them) #ssp
They cost a fucking fortune though.
Have some limited edition Levis 511s which are really really good. They're £100 so quite a lot.
Went to the Levi's shop to get some at the weekend and they had a tiny mark. Asked for a discount and got 20% off result. They fit a charm and I'm a chunky fucker. Also, they last pretty much forever.
Makes me want to cry that they're around 4 times the price in the UK as they are in the States though.
'royal' blue (commuter)
plum (badly faded)
I should stop buying them now really.
not totally sure on the difference, theyre either 1 skinnier or 1 looser.
Evisu are making a comeback, could never afford em in the 90's but can now so might for out on a pair.
...I like the Uniqlo mens selvedge ones
Not everyone's 6 foot tall :(
Uniqlo do free adjustments, usually within an hour though.
so you won't get the deep fades you get from some premium jeans, the UniQlo selvedge jeans do represent incredible value.
Last for years, plenty of different fits so you can easily find one which suits you best. Better quality than Nudie and they don't have the horrible orange stitching on the back pockets either.
my waist to arse-and-thigh to lower leg ratio (small, huge, small) means i've given up completely on trying to find some affordable jeans.
Wash inside out?
My black work jeans, from whatever brand, always turn light grey within 9 months.
not washing for 6 months, put them in the freezer when they start to smell. Then wash them inferquently using Woolite Black, strangely I can only find this in Wilko now.
but definitely recommend washing them only very infrequently.
raw selvedge now, and wear them in without washing for at least 6 months, this gives them a really good look as they fade.
I recommend Edwin, they have a great range, this one may suit:
I have a great pair of Barbour Dept B Jeans, but they're probably to much of a relaxed fit for what you're looking for.
I love APC clothes, but I've found their jeans fade too quickly and the weight of denim isn't quite heavy enough so they don't last.
I'm also a sucker for raw denim and have spent silly money on jeans. My first ones were actually Edwin ones from Interstate in 2000 as a graduation treat. Never wash them either. And the freezer trick has never worked for me.
Got two pairs of APCs which I love. The oldest pair are like a second skin now.
Raw selvedge is pricey but console yourself with the fact that a) properly cared for they'll last twice as long as normal jeans b) you're buying something of an artisanal product and not supporting sweatshop made high street fashion.
If you're in London get down to Son of a Stag opposite a Rough a Trade East and talk to The staff in there. If you wear jeans a lot then it's worth investing in a couple of decent pairs, and Son of a Stag stock all the best.
£300 for a pair of Full Count! Have you been to Rivet and Hide? Also pretty good, but not as great a selection.
