Or do you just converse about stuff?
Yes I do.
play those sort of drinking games??
Called the train to ummington?
The only thjng I can remember from a card drinking game was '9 bust a rhyme' where if you picked a 9 you'd have to freestyle rap or do a shot
its called drink at my own pace
Got properly sloshed after one round. Was nearly sick. Never again.
But even then, it was painfully obvious that if you stuck to the rules of those things and only drank a couple of fingers when you were told to that you'd end up drinking faaar slower than if you just sat around drinking.
they're ok. quite like them sometimes. i'm a very in demand person so sometimes i'll be drinking with people i don't love and usually then they're a bit better than not playing them
like friends who aren't the best friends but you still like but add a drinking game and its another thing in there to make it even more fun
it's good as an ice breaker in a group where it's not loads of people who already know each other. dont think i'd ever do it at a party though. maybe like a work night out. you know?
played them once at a gathering and everyone hated one person there who was bad and they knew everyone hated them so it was awkward but we played a drinking game and they got drunk and fell asleep
but every time I play there's usually an empty pint glass in the centre of this ring of cards and everyone has to pour a bit of their drink into it and the loser has to down it. Fuck that right? All that spit...
it's usually beer mixed with wine, cider, various spirits and other people's spit. Sometimes with ketchup and mayonnaise.
Or are your friends actively spitting in the pint? If the latter, then you might need new friends
on saturday. it was a really good laugh cos of novelty and the particular group i was with. played them a ton in my first year at uni and grew to hate them, but infrequently they can be fun if you're looking to get trashed and everybody's up for it. playing them for the sake of it, or when some people reluctantly join in is a waste of time though.
now, not so much
the one where each card gets assigned a task/forfeit/game, and everyone picks one?
Then that one, that's pretty good fun once in a while. Wouldn't do it on a normal Friday night, mind.
They're alright. More something you do when you're only plan is to sit around in someone's flat and drink. Which happens less and less as you're older/have some disposable income to actually do shit.
For once, though, I think the Americans have it right when it comes to drinking games. Beer pong, flip cup, strip poker... All way more likely to get a party going than sitting people around a deck of cards.
on account of just being a fun game to play that happens to involve drinking.
Really, really hate games that have been thought up with the explicit intent of just forcing everyone to drink quicker/disgusting drinks.
or shots. I get perfectly happily pissed on my own thanks. I can actually drink less during a drinking game at times.
haha, no but seriously though, I'm dead on the inside
I can't get as drunk.
they can be fun. my problem with them is that as too heavy a boozer, I find them fairly easy. they can punish people that don't need to drink as much, thus getting them more drunk than they need to. seeing those of your friends that don't drink as much, absolutely sloshed might seem funny to you, because it often is, but spare a thought, guys, spare a thought. ...and drink responsibly.
it was really, really fun, but i was 20 or 21 so there's that
once in a while people absolutely need to get more drunk than theyre comfortable with. very important
Drinking is fun. Drinking games are fun.
Depends on the game though doesn't it. Like a lot of drinking games are just variations on 'drink the drink', which is shit. However beer pong, flip cup, fingers etc can be brilliant and good ice breakers when you don't know many people at a party.
