You can retire in Infinity years
with a savings rate of 0%
Funnily enough he actually regrets it. He now wishes he hadn't worked as hard/strived to earn so much money so young and just enjoyed his 30s and 40s a bit more.
Grass is always greener etc.
And my wage too.
I'd hope to be able to retire earlier than in 39 years...
in the future and use that.
The wife and I save one salary and live off the other, so our savings rate is about 55%.
my dad has worked 6 days a week for years and is convinced he's going to die anyway before he can afford to retire because of the stress of his minimum wage, public sector, manual job - grim as fuck.
the fact that he's doing more for the safety and welbeing of the vulnerable people of this country than most is what keeps him going - not surprised so many people retire from politics early #LOL
Some bullshit right there.
are pretty eye opening reading.
I should save more. Apparently if I managed my money in a sensible but still comfortable manner it would be 6.7 years. With my current complete non management of money it is 37 years.
Savings plan tomorrow!!! (if I am not too hungover)
