I'm rubbish at cooking/putting things together. But this is a thread for swapping recipes. It's that time of the month (before payday) so I'm cooking as much as I can at home, rather than spending large amounts in my lunch break, which leaves more money for beer.
I made a Greek salad, nothing fancy and more of an accomplice to me baked potata, but it tastes really nice with the following ingredients and dressing:
Greek salad cheese, cut into bite-size pieces.
2 vine tomatoes, washed and each cut into wedges
Greek kalamata olives
1 red onion, finely sliced
FOR THE DRESSING
3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil by Sainsbury's
2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
Pinch cayenne pepper by Sainsbury's
Pinch Sainsbury's Fairtrade caster sugar
Mix all the ingredients in in a bowl and leave it to marinate for a bit. It does taste really nice because the pepper and sugar compliment each other. I know it's not exactly cooking, but it tastes nice and to be fair I'm pretty crap at cooking anyway.
Feel free to help a sista out with other recipes, vegan/veggie ones would be especially appreciated, but go ahead, do your worst/best anyway.
