we've still all got at least one of each then.
takes going to take a while....
glad that fad died off.
rather than in their bed, alone?
i think my parents deliberately have a crap tv so when people come round they can pretend they don't watch it all the time
- Phone: Google Nexus 4 8Gb
- TV: LG 32LT75 32'' 720p HD TV with Hard Drive Recorder
iPhone 4 (severely smashed) - can't connect to Wifi
Samsung S3 (even more severely smashed) - can't connect to network
Blackberry - work phone - awful
Just a big Samsung one. Barely ever watch anything on it since my XBOX broke. Watched Noah on it yesterday.
LG 50PN650T - 50" Plasma Smart TV, 1080p (recent treat).
Panasonic 5.1 Surround System.
phone: Samsung Galaxy S3 - now out of warranty - but I put Cyanogenmod on it and it's like a new phone now.
tv: LG plasma 32" - about 5 years old.
what does this word mean: Cyanogenmod
My S3 was absolutely dead - taking actual minutes to open one app and then minimise it. Thought it was just because it was old. Turns out the touchwiz thingy that Samsung has bunged on it, just gets really really slow after a year of not factory reseting it.
Cyanogenomod is basically a sort of souped up version of the stock android thing. http://www.cyanogenmod.org/
Really easy to install it: http://beta.download.cyanogenmod.org/install
and it's meant that I don't feel the need to get a new phone now - my battery lasts about 1.5 days now and the phone works as if it's brand new. I'd recommend it if yours is getting a bit knackered.
You'll need to back stuff up if you want to keep anything. I backed everythign up, then didn't actually bother to put it back on my phone.
Sounds good. I may well go for it as my contract is up and I am going to giffgaff and I don't want to buy a new phone. The only important stuff on my phone are the photos and I have them dropboxed up.
same situation for me. Moved to Three.
You'll have to spend a couple of hours reinstalling all the apps that you want - setting up your home screen - shit like that.
But means you don't need to spend a couple of hundred quid on a new phone.
I quite want this new One Plus One phone thing - but you need an invite to buy it - ridiculous. Also, I can't afford a new phone.
Lumia 920. Windows Phone 8.1 is really nice overall, and the phone itself is a tank.
Netflix on the above
BenQ Projector W770ST
iPhone 5 - works fine, think it's alright
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - work phone, like it, massive though
Sony BRAVIA KDL46EX713 46-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p LCD Internet TV with Edge LED Screen, Motionflow 100Hz and Eco Features - good tv, 3 years old, never had any issues.
I don't own a tv. My mate does have a massive Samsung one in the living room though, don't know the model.
I watch most of my tv on my laptop, a Toshiba A200 I got 7 years ago now. Its screen is pretty big though.
I guess I'm not hi-tech even though it's 2014, sorry.
Phone: Nokia 3210
TV: Goodmans 28" CRT
Phone: iPhone 5C. Seemingly able to survive being in a puddle of water overnight and rebuilding itself, but have noticed the front camera is fucked. Telly watching usually done on phone because PC is about eight years old with a fan belt that's fucked.
TV: Sony. Not sure of anything else. BT Vision box that crashes every two minutes. Use it to watch football and The Simpsons and NOTHING ELSE.
Phone: HTC One. best phone I've ever had - brilliant. In good nick despite no cover / protector for the last ten months (touchwood)
TV: 26" Philips cathode ray tube job. Wedding present, still going (curse it).
I have a phone though obviously.
