as in YOUR age..
cost of car insurance
so we're both aging and we're going to very much enjoy each others company in future.
I appreciate them more. Yes.
If I sit down after work I don't get nack up again untoil; I crawl to bed, whihc is why I need to do any chores/ gym/ shopping / cooking straight from work. SITTING DOWN IS DANGEROUS.
I don't generally sit down until 9.00
I do properly enjoy that aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh sofa sitting feeling though
get all the jobs done... and then a nice sit down :)
you appreciate it more? you're a better worker of bricks?
Explain yourself, marckee
He's having a SHOCKING afternoon.
he's the Alistair Cook of DiS
big Coast fan though
Used to go crazy about waiting. Now I don't give a shit, I'll wait.
I know the standard logic is that everyone thinks that music was better when they were young, but I remember being a teenager/early 20s and always getting annoyed at how rubbish so much of the music that people listened to is. Now I just realise more and more that most music is just rubbish and I don't listen to it any more.
used to be baffled by the whole thing, now is just insanely pleasureable.
(may partially be b/c I was a lazy radge who never exercised tbh)
Also I'm finding that nights out seem to last longer now, and usually start with a meal. That I like.
sitting in the sun
when I was younger these are the following small easy tasks which felt so overwhelming I just didn't do them for ages:
returning library books
making my bed
checking my bank online
Now, all easy! (still not the biggest fan of washing clothes but I'll do it if it needs doing).
I still can't be bothered with most easy tasks
you're dead, Balonz
I was too eager then went back and typed it again and then double whammo
peace and quiet
other old people
There was a time when if everything was quiet I would put on some music. Good example would be if I were sitting out in the garden or sunbathing on holiday with my headphones on.
These days, I actually like and appreciate silence a lot more
Sex (especially for females)
general quality of life things (being able to afford to eat well, live in a nice house, do fun/ culturtal things and holiday)
Your smile- I like that when I smlle really hard I have a little line at the side of my eyes and a little rabbit crease at the side of my nose. Considered having it filled/ botoxed, but nah.
perception- by this i mena, the older you get the less you tend to give a shit anout minutiae. maybe it's also a kind of selfishness, but I know now who and what is of critical importance ot me, and it's a prettys short list thsese days and my god, what a relief. I spread myself far too thin in my 20s.
Also, my hair has improved with age
Little black book/ networking
Mementos- they become more meaningful (the really important ones anyway. last year I finally got reound to chucking out a lot of absolute shite that I'd been hoarding for years, inc a love letter from a man i had a holiday romance with when I was 16 whihc i only kept because it said I gave the best BJ ever. I threw out so much stuff last year and the stuff i've kept is so dear to me (OJ Simpson's pants).
also acceptance that this is how and who you are and not to change/pretend to try to impress/please people
Nice beers rather than lager
Pubs not Clubs
Tend to have more gusto
How expensive is your taste in restaurants?!
in fact since turning about 20, i've enjoyed sprouts about 10% more consistently with each passing year
if this rate of growth is sustainable over the next 25 years, i don't think i'll be able to justify eating anything except sprouts
