Take our test!
The throwing events demand a lot from athletes. You need a lot of raw power, and to be able to use it explosively. But without technical ability to match your physical strength, you're not going to succeed
for some reason they think I'd be rubbish at shooting. but I'm actually a decent shot! fu bbc!
Does men's netball even exist??
Fuck all of that...
What!? I thought hockey at least so I could hit people with a stick.
I'll go wherever being 6'4 would be an advantage
I discovered a few weeks ago that I was quite good at student wankers' sport of choice, Ultimate Frisbee. Which is basically netball with a frisbee and an endzone. So I guess it makes sense.
i've never played squash
You may be less suited to:
Athletics (long distance)
Given that I play hockey, and am rubbish at it, I'd question the accuracy of this survey.
it knows that even though you're rubbish at hockey, you'll be more rubbish at everything else
as England cricket captain.
A couple of lucky runs an innings, a bit of confident-looking pointing in the field and I'd be really good at apologising after losing.
But it says Athletics - throwing which is just ridiculous. I couldn't throw anything for shit.
I guess that involves wandering round in a robe and lying down occasionally. Seems ok actually.
Every year I want to play more pool; every year I fail. Miss playing in a team/league :(
the slkpa (which has a v high standard but means mooching all over the shop) and the london city league. would recommend both.
Or if you fancy a game sometime I've got a membership at hurricane rooms, few jars and the baize?
Everyone come over.
did you clean it afterwards?
vagaries to the playing surface.
I do like the Hurricane Rooms in Kings Cross. Lovely tables, plenty of space, always good cues available + as much booze as you like.
Cheers for the offer but that would involve dangerously mixing DiS and real life which I simply cannot do. But cheers anyway!
a lot quicker now, but also a lot better.
There's a place called Spots and Stripes in Southwark too which is realyl good, and has regular comps on.
Haha, no worries!
Probably the worst place to play pool in London. Horrendous it is.
a few years a go. Was very dark, even by pool hall standards. Was also off my face at the time, which might've helped.
Squash or badminton.
Great, being skinny wallflower with endurance has got me chucked in a boxing ring or poncing about in a squash court with bob from accounts.
*hurls self into traffic*
Only done one of those, but it is the sport I'm best at.
because we should really sort this game out.
Actually i am very good at table tennis, so that's cool.
no need to take a test.
did you get netball as well?
sounds like a lot of work...
I'LL SHOW YOU, BBC.
Guess that's the go to for people who are rubbish at sport but continue to slowly kill themselves at the gym anyway
Absolutely mental considering my stamina and hand-eye coordination.
You may be less suited to:
1. Athletics (long-distance) 2. Shooting 3. Lawn bowls...
...oooh Bowls, yeah, that's my discipline
Now there's a sport.
Where's my pack of Gauloise?
Tell me I can be a world-beating tennis/track and field star, ffs/
the DiS netball team is looking pretty fierce
yeah, reasonably accurate
I knew it would come out as that or hockey since that's what I play innit.
If you rate youself highly in terms of aggression, power, pain tolerance and teamwork, then rugby sevens could be the perfect sport for you.
(bit surprised as I only gave myself 3/10 for coordination)
Cycling and swimming
I'm not fit enough to swim very far and certainly not fast.
Not suited to Rugby 7s, Gymnastics or Hockey.
The BBC is not responsible for injuries.
Wrestling, boxing, judo
That's pretty much bang on. Well done bbc
