Just remembered that they pay £90/wk for a two bed flat in Tufnell Park in Spaced. Fucking hell!
the phrase "break bread" to mean "have some food" would only be used by a prick. A prick like Simon Pegg
they paid 2d for a pint of best! Wouldn't happen now!
So I was reading an Anthony Trollope book recently, and it was written in the 1870s as a contemporary novel, but all the posh aristos in it stay up well late. Like they'll have a formal dinner that starts at 10pm and sits down to eat at midnight. Struck me as a bit mad really.
Ground floor flat in my building is £415 a week I think, maybe more.
is this your girlfriend?
...Simon Pegg scoffs at that price ever being realistic. Jessica Stevenson swears that she saw a flat offered for that.
I know a guy through work who lives in Jessica Hynes (nee Stevenson's) old house in West London. When he went for a viewing with his wife, he recognised Stevenson but tried to play it cool, but could see his wife had no idea she was famous. As they looked round, he kept nudging her and trying to tell her without Stevenson letting on, and whispering "Spaced? Spaced!" while his wife got really confused and kept replying "Yes, there is a lot of space isn't there?"
All people are a bit twattish but then you get success and from then on it's all okay to be as twattish as possible. That's what I believe they believe.
Can't afford it any more. Bloody kids.
like i would have thought the 90s would have been cheaper
If it's £90/wk each or all in.
Then I listened to their Comedy Bang Bang episode and realised I was being silly.
just down the road from where the Spaced house is
makes the flat look bigger
It'll play well on these boards
Indie pop (horror)
