My nicknames are reserved for my son at the moment
Chimpoiselle* is currently in heavy rotation.
*(Chimp Wah Zell)
Just "Toots" really
I'd like to think it makes me seem like a gritty, hardboiled, 1950's Chicago private detective but I don't think it does.
I might try this one out
i used to use this one
we both liked it i think
my uncle's lifelong nickname for my aunt has been "pug"
not sure how he's gotten away with that tbh
I don't have any for him, but he has a few for me...
beans
mcgooch
mcgooch is my favourite thus far
brooper
jozzaroo
jorrissey
beyonce (as preferable to fiancee)
my dad does this. he calls my mam mary, she's not mary and never has been. it's got the same syllables as her name, there is actually no point to it. it's something to do with olden days and female horses being called mares?
Not all for the same person
"Funnyface"
"Farty"
"J"
"Pen"
I tried with "sweetheart" in some kind of loveable gangster vein for a while but it didn't work
#notallforthesameperson
bub
bubba
beeb
bobo
etc
we used to call each other pi/pie for years, not so much these days.
but be it wife or child, it tends to be food stuffs or animals usually, ie, sausage, tiger, pumpkin, monkey. or alternatively captain fancy pants.
Sub-thread question
Is there anyone who, like me, ONLY uses nicknames and then finds it very odd when, in company, you have to use their actual name? I would never use the GF's name when it's just the two of us
Honeybear
Bumblebee
Roy
Bitchtits
or Cowbag
Apparently the latter is more offensive.
Saddlebags
She didn't really like it.
Frankenstein
Frankiedoodle
BURMA
*brusma
