I saw some Tokyo bikes in a shop the other day, they looked really nice but I suppose you shouldn't go on looks alone.
I've only got one so it's hard to say
Also, don't discount looks entirely - you want to make sure you're looking pretty fly while you're burning around town...
You're going to get a load of bores on here in a minute banging on about "just getting decent 2nd hand bikes" but they're wrong. You want the bike that looks most pimp for the least money.
IT'S A WHOLE LOTTA FUN
WHERE PRIZES CAN BE WON
failing that, just do it now
What sort of thing are you after? Commuting? Pub bike?
there's a bike I can use if/when I like, although it's not mine. I sometimes just see nice ones and think, yeah that'd be nice
so I could pick up some tips on getting me a cheap and cheerful bike for riding around town.
You've all let me down.
I have learned something today.
Ha ha, bike wanker!
it's really pretty and wasn't that expensive. I got it from an indie shop and got free servicing for a year. They do a man's bike if traditional looking bikes are what you're after.
(local bike shop)
the salt of the earth
I need this right now
Looks beautiful on Chrome.
Get a proper bike...
It's an alright Ridgeback hybrid jobbie but I reckon when my month comes to an end I'm gonna want something lighter and SEXIER. Woo.
I hope it's dots in disguise.
But it's a little small for me :(
Can't stand fixies though
Bianchi's should be Celeste blue with black flashes or black with Celeste flashes.
it's a Bianchi c2c nirone 7 alu frame with carbon&kevlar forks hand built in Italy with Campagnolo Veloce - for £550
plus ever since I was a wee, wee lad and Raleigh had their Team Banana on the go I've always had a soft spot for the yellow vélo
besides, I think the yellow & celeste go nicely together
unless you're wearing the yellow jersey.
anyone who likes vintage bike porn
I have a yellow one. Because it was going cheap in Sports Direct.
Is that 'allowed'? Same question for other iconic jerseys (spotty KOM etc). Feels a bit needy, at the very least. Unearned at worst.
Presuming replica kits is a no no.
What about oldies like kellogs/marmite, etc?
Talk to me about what we're all supposed to be sneering about and looking down on. ;-)
is it a replica yellow jersey from the the grand boucle?
rules 16 & 17 apply
Rule #16// Respect the jersey.
Championship and race leader jerseys must only be worn if you’ve won the championship or led the race.
Rule #17// Team kit is for members of the team.
Wearing Pro team kit is also questionable if you’re not paid to wear it. If you must fly the colors of Pro teams, all garments should match perfectly, i.e no Mapei jersey with Kelme shorts and Telekom socks
If it's comfy and suits your budget, wear it. Who gives a shit what other cyclists think of your polka dot jersey or your Euskatel Euskadi full kit. Some of the best kit i have is replica team kit. Does a better job at wicking sweat and keeping me cool that my 3 rapha jerseys do.
3 jersey it's no surprise you're hot
