what annoys me most is how people go about it, if they're sneaky or refuse to answer phones I find it annoying, but if they do it in a friendly way like me, then that's okay!
But they just don't give a shit, which I can totally sympathise with, because I don't really give a shit either and the only reason their fecklessness bothers me at all is that I can get in trouble for it.
I don't think everyone should be working like crazy all the time and we all need to relax and blow off steam but I do get increasingly bemused by how some people come into work and actively avoid work for the entire shift. Do they not get bored avoiding work so hard? Fucks sake, JUST DO SOME WORK.
but not posting official stats as I'm pretty sure it could get me in trouble. Shes got passive aggressive on FACEBOOK with me and keeps talking about 'emotional vampires' and 'fun sponges'. Works works you dumb fat cunt. I was bred like I am so dickheads like you can float around all day talking about pictures of dogs in hats.
but mostly everyone works hard. What pisses me off is what they spend that time doing - endless meetings instead of just making a decision, updating reports that no one asked for and no one looks at, discussing every fucking email they receive with the people around them.
but she's just really struggling to get on top of things and I have to keep stepping in but she won't go to the appropriate training to learn how to use the internal tools properly and just keeps relying on me for help but I just can't keep helping her with the same shit over and over again and I can see she's sinking a bit and I could help by doing by doing loads for her but it's not my fucking job but I feel bad
... he asks a bunch of bunch of office workers who pass their days
by making "Your Mum" jokes on a mildly popular indie music forum.
I'm aware of the possibly hypocrisy
but let's just see what people think
I think everyone should look at their post counts,
then look in the mirror, then shrug their shoulders and walk of whistling.
"with"
this was meant to be in the main thread.
I am that person.
somehow
what annoys me most is how people go about it, if they're sneaky or refuse to answer phones I find it annoying, but if they do it in a friendly way like me, then that's okay!
I ask my
colleague Chris to answer my office phone regularly and he puts them on hold and asks me if I wants to speak to them.
He's not a receptionist. I feel a bit bad, but it's great experience for him.
lucky chris
he doesn't do much
everyone here seems to read buzzfeed all day
and make eachother watch 'funny' videos
we're currently listening to linkin park
...
sum 41 now

"I'll... I'll set the building on fire..."
some of the support staff are a wee bit of a chore in this regard
But they just don't give a shit, which I can totally sympathise with, because I don't really give a shit either and the only reason their fecklessness bothers me at all is that I can get in trouble for it.
the whole thing about how we should be on one-day work weeks by now
I'm pretty sure I've just expanded that one day to five tbh
i'm currently on a 3 day work week of 12 hour shifts
and jus' chillin
unlucky rest of the world hhaaha
but that means no-one's paying you to be on DiS =(
Not really, no
Most of my colleagues are clever, hard working and reliable.
WELL GOOD FOR YOU
indeed
he must be mugging them off something rotten
It's not easy mugging them off to this extent, you know
It takes brains, hard work and dedication.
=D
We've got an excellent bunch of folk working for us
One person gives me a bit of a headache and has to be watched closely
oh, name names!
:P
I bet it's Shirley
Leaving the top off the milk, leaving the sink to stink...leaving the toilet seat up, drinks from the same dam cup. That Shirley.
Is that a rap?

:)
I ma dfealing with an ex colleague of yours just now actually!
I've probably said too much (it's nothing bad, she's just looking into doing business with me and my sister.)
You've got mad feelings for an ex-colleague of LP's?

sorry for slightly vaguebooking everyone
Pretty sure there are no DiSers working here
i'm highly sceptical that there are DiSers working anywhere
i know fitzcaraldo is the boss of someone at some sort of publishing place

I don't think everyone should be working like crazy all the time and we all need to relax and blow off steam but I do get increasingly bemused by how some people come into work and actively avoid work for the entire shift. Do they not get bored avoiding work so hard? Fucks sake, JUST DO SOME WORK.

she may be feckless and workshy, but she's extremely perceptive!
You need to stop following me around
If you want to ask me out that's fine. Just stop this ridiculous obsession you have with me
Julio Cesar to thread
I fully intend to this
every Brazilian footballer post in this thread.
Some people here have to-do-lists made of Teflon
but mostly everyone works hard. What pisses me off is what they spend that time doing - endless meetings instead of just making a decision, updating reports that no one asked for and no one looks at, discussing every fucking email they receive with the people around them.
this seemed to be the situ here when I took over
so I stopped doing those things. Now it's all a bit tumbleweed...
my last job had folk who literally filled their calendar every week
with endless "catch-up's" with each other
in the 6 months i was there they achieved absolutely nothing, which given it was a pretty well-respected/supported charity was really pretty galling
I hate this about business.
I'd rather get my head down and work through my Trello list than be in those meetings achieving nothing.
keep reading this title in the voice of one of those insurance claim adverts.
My work is pretty much entirely reactive
so if I have nothing on my plate fucking about on here and elsewhere keeps me looking busy
I'd be more than happier if I was busier and didn't have time to fuck about on forums
ok, she's not feckless and work shy
but she's just really struggling to get on top of things and I have to keep stepping in but she won't go to the appropriate training to learn how to use the internal tools properly and just keeps relying on me for help but I just can't keep helping her with the same shit over and over again and I can see she's sinking a bit and I could help by doing by doing loads for her but it's not my fucking job but I feel bad
