i'm feeling it for the first time, and it is a bad feeling.
Share YOUR experiences so I can make myself feel better
but without fail, everytime I open that test paper and read the first question - my mind feels like it's going to explode and that I won't be able to do anything.
Then I take a few deeps breaths, maybe read some of the questions up ahead to ensure I CAN answer some of this stuff then I blag it and scrape a pass if I'm lucky.
I'm not good at education.
as long as it's not a driving test, i guess - or for a pilot's licence or something like that
when's the exam? this hasn't happened to me since gcse really (spanish, P.E.) but you just have to accept that you've fucked up and not give a shit really.
it's tomorrow and it's a music exam so I can fail it and still live on. Just feels terrible knowing that i'll have to go into the room with the examiner and stay there for half an hour while it becomes clear that I will not pass.
oh right that sounds massively uncomfortable. music examiners are really boring people as well. you're gonna have to get shitfaced beforehand imo or just go in there and piss about. it worked for john cage.
The pieces are passable, but I am terrible at everything else.
What instrument will you be playing?
Well just think of when it will be over - and then you can relax. Have a pint maybe
To the extent that I went into the exam without having fully learned any of the pieces I had to perform. I managed to pass (with a much lower mark than with previous exams admittedly) despite feeling it was going to be terrible beforehand.
let out wash over you.
i had an exam failure at uni, with two retakes, and the aggregate score over those three exams came to less than the score required to pass, let alone actually coming close on any one attempt.
some things just aren't meant to be. better to go with the flow than fight it.
UNLESS you're one of those gits who mither loudly about how they've done no revision and don't know anything about the subject, but then end up nailing it with 84% or sutin.
I was pretty much still drunk and ended up being sick in a rubbish bin at the front of the room.. pretty embarrassing when I look back almost 10 years later but I wasn't at all at the time
Which doesn't directly affect my degree, so I was told I had to resit it AGAIN over summer. But I passed the exam, turns out I had to resubmit an essay related to the module and lateness penalties had already been waived by extenuating circumstances, still could do without the stress of it all
hope youre okay x
