wo, wonder if he'll leave?
he could just be angling for a better long-term deal at miami
but he's already got a pretty good one. Imagine if he went back to Cleveland... WHERE OUR CAVS AT?
really hope he does The Decision II
Lebron, Howard & Harden would be pretty tasty
I don't want to have to start hating houston
so him, Bosh and Wade can take small pay cuts to improve the roster. Keeping his current contract would have made it borderline impossible for the Heat to do anything else
this doesn't mean a whole bunch really, he had to sign a different deal with wade and bosh to make some room to bolster the miami bench. but what's interesting is that he would likely need to take another paycut, and he's just hoping that they can retool with limited cap space while he's in his prime years. nevermind that wade looks like he's taking the same dip amare did...
whatever happens, i hope he stays in the east because we need more west/east parity not less. i'm trying not to get excited about a return even though I COULD TOTALLY LIST A HUNDRED REALLY SUPER GREAT REASONS FOR IT. whatever happens, even IF he went west, i really think the Heat are setting themselves up for a gradual year on year disappointment if they keep the big 3 setup, even at a discount.
i.e why does it matter if one is better
you could argue that only 3 teams in the east this year would have made the playoffs in the west (and 8 make it per conference).
also you notice the difference in the finals because east teams only play other east teams en route to the finals, so when they get there and play the western conference champions, it's not a guaranteed great matchup due to different levels of competition. this year was a good example of that, the Heat faced very little competition on their way to play San Antonio, whereas San Antonio faced lots of competition and the result of the finals reflects that.
east plays west during the regular season but it isn't evenly weighted.
and be better at it than Michael Jordan was at baseball
would be scary good. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/lebron-wanna-play-nfl-game-article-1.1490970 his measurables would be perfect for a TE.
I'M GONNA HAVE A HEART ATTACK
they offered ariza 5m/year which is a joke. deng isn't taking anything less than 10m. the free agent market is a hostile one for them because all the worthwhile prospects are coming off career years and want to get paid, lebron and bosh both want to get paid.
on top of that, no free agent wants to commit to a heat roster that could be in the lottery next year, and lebron/bosh won't want to commit without assurance that they're a deeper team.
bosh to rockets is apparently a phonecall away from a done deal the moment lebron makes a decision.
american sports fans are so fickle :D
no one gives a fuck about team loyalty
just think it's a bit strange how they're welcoming him back with open arms when he basically gave them the finger when he left
But he's still at his prime and decided to come home when he could have in his salad days. Tbh its amazing he's done this
the basketball gods smile upon your soul
